Joey Porter says he guarantees a win against the saints on sunday. Of all the stupid things to do in pro football. I was worried this would be a trap game and playing a champion pinned in the corner, but this sounds like the mark of a desparate team and a last ditch effort to fire themsselves up, but i feel this will be lockeroom fodder that only helps the saints a bit more.... I am feeling a bit better now. Thank god we dont have any ego idiots on our team anymore...

Joey may know something we don't. They might have the same guys calling the game from last year's Super Bowl. :? If that's the case, we're screwed from the get go. :bang:

I love it when a player of the opposing team guarantees a win, it only puts added pressure to win the game , I'm sure his coaches and teammates don't feel the same as I do with the Porter comments.
I don't think the Saints will run the ball well against them but shouldn't have any problems passing against them, look at the success Vick had against them, he torched the hell out of their defense, if Vick can torch them just think what Brees will do to them..

2-6 or not, a win over the steelers would be HUGE for the Saints.

Sorry the best team did not win the Super Bowl last year. I didn't believe it last year and well...

Saints have a history of jump starting seasons, nothing would be sweeter if the Saints were the ones that causes this turmoil of Porter having to eat his words and officially ending the Steelers season. This would go a long way in changing that culture.

Porter's been a shadow of his former self this season. Seems like Willie Parker is the only person left on that team who's not delusional.

I wonder if Joey and Joe Horn will get into some trash talking. I hope they do.

I would be lieing if I said that I wasn't nervous about Sunday's game against the Steelers in Pittsburg. In the past, this would be a let down game. Their backs are against the wall and, prior to this season, we tend to take teams with lesser records lightly.

So, If we do win what will he say? Man I hope he feels really stupid for talking out of his ass. I want the Saints to win but now I hope they stomp them and I hope that will finally show everyone just who the '06 Saints are!

My Daughter Lives in Pitt. and she telling me there is a BIG BUZZ right now!!! It's live or Die up there,They do love there Steelers---It's going to be a tough game---but like it was said,I also think it will be hard to run on them but I do think we can Pass on them :airguitar:

My gut feeling for this Sunday. Of course I have developed a new attitude for every Sunday now. I feel the Saints can win every week and here is how I think it will happen this time. I had a strange feeling the Dolphins were gonna destroy Chicago and I got it. Now I honestly think that by playing a 3-4 defense in Pitt. They are going to try a lot of schemes to confuse Brees and disrupt the passing game thus....I think Reggie and Deuce are gonna have monster games this Sun. YES! EVEN BUSH. I have a feeling the holes are gonna open up for the ground game this week. Defensively based on what I have witnessed, the way to stop Pitts offense it to rattle Big Ben. I expect a lot of pressure from the front seven. Remember, these are just my gut feelings for the weekend. I'm sure anything can happen but this is how I fell it will go and we will win 28-24. Regardless....people....KEEP THE FAITH AND BELIEVE IN THIS TEAM. WE WILL WIN! Go Saints and you guys have a great weekend. If I can get on the chat I will. Good luck to us all and please pray for me. I have 2 friends coming over for the game. One is a Steeler fan and the other is a Falcon fan. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers guys.

I think we will win with Ball control. Keep drives alive by making the 3rd downs.chew the clock and get the points. I think Pitt likes to go for it on 4th and short alot if not they will this game. Stopping them from getting it will be huge momentum for us.

We have to put pressure on Roethlisberger as Jeebs pointed out, but we also have to contain "Fast" Willie Parker!

Anyway the line is Pittsburgh by 4.5, so .....................

depends on which saints come out to play sunday.... if they play like they did last week (w/ the exception of the 2nd quarter) they'll be in really good shape.... if they play like they did vs. baltimore, we get trounced... freddie thomas being downgraded to doubtful doesn't help, but if we can force at least turnovers, we should be able to capitalize at least one and that may be the difference.... i'm not so much worried about well the steelers will be, as much as how bad (which i hope not at all) we can possibly be.... now i'm not saying we'll be terrible, but we can't have another baltimore game....
