And THAT'S Why We Still Need Joe Horn

Anyone else notice Copper come back to the huddle smiling after a drop? I did. Made for a sickening reminder.

...and then he drops the deep ball near the end of the game followed by the fumble that cost us everything. Nice replacement for Horn.

As a follow on, where was "disappearing Devery"? Didn't see him make a play all day and that left Colston to carry the load. He did an admirable job but without ANY other real receiving threat it was not enough.

Turnovers. Points off of turnovers. Allowing a non drafted running back, to put up 200 yards on the ground on you. Your defensive line getting man handled.

Drew Brees did all he could to save this game, as well as Colston. The blame has to go to the rookie hands, and their inabliity to hold on to the ball, as well as the defense's incompetence.

Thank God Atlanta lost today.

you guys wanna know why we don't get the respect from the media that you feel we're entitled to? this game is the embodiment of why.... we don't come through when in the spotlight... plain and simple.... we had a perfect opportunity to put them away, but turnovers kill us.... and for those who want to drop joe horn, you all need to take a good long look at what we have opposite marques colston, which isn't too much..... the only bright spot today was atlanta dropped along with us...

Hey where is WHODI??? please explain why we need to just get rid of joe????

redjem25 11-12-2006 07:15 PM

AMEN- Joe where u at?

Having Joe with 40 seconds left would have been great, but Copper played well, all things considered. Very frustrating to lose this one. I'm like others though, where was Devery today?

Colston's still on an absolute tear. And Brees has been phenomenal.

Defense is gonna have to clamp down next week, especially after Cincinatti's explosion today.

Atlanta losing helps make it slightly easier but I was really beginning to see the Saints as a 12-4 type team. That's still possible, obviously but getting behind, turning the ball over, and giving up huge plays won't get it done.

Bad time to test copper as a full timer. Still looking for answer to henderson's disapearing act.
This was a game that proved a Veteran wr is needed. did you see the look in Joe's eyes on that last drive? he want to go so bad. He was dieing on the side line

What I want to know is why Copper was in Horn's place and not Devery...The guy had two TD's last week...He is an awesome deep threat...the steelers did not respect the deep threat and keyed on the run so we did not get Deuce loose or Bush...I wanted to smack copper when he came back smiling

LOl...funny I thought the same thing. After Copper fumbled that last pass the first thing I thought of was the "Do we still need Joe Horn" thread. Now I know what the legal analysts here are gonna say. "There is no evidence indicating that Horn would have held on to that ball." Or "what facts do you have to back up the notion that Horn would have held on to the ball better that Copper?" Truth is I have niether. But I like most people in this thread feel that having Horn on the field during that drive would have given us a much better chance at scoring on that last drive.

I think we all would have slept better knowing Joe was in there.
