watch what you say, some ppl take things the wrong way.... the way you feel now is how i felt after the baltimore game, and i was ripped for expressing that idea....

The Saints will rebound IMO..
They played their game and lost, was I disappointed ?, yes, but already looking ahead to next week..
I saw good things with the team today, almost 500 total yards for them against the Steelers and in the cold..
Go Saints...

RE: Hurt & Heartbroken

this cold tonight and the cold that they'd be facing in new york or worse, chicago, is totally different.... it was good to see them perform good in the cold, but it will be brutal in new york or chicago in january....

UGHHH!

I feel the same way, A GOLDEN oppp missed! ( Via the Browns win today )

Reggie PLEASE hang on to the ball !!

Great effort boys, let's quit giving games away though!

we lost one game... Carolina
we beat ourselves in two. not bad at 6-3.

BoudinSandwich 11-12-2006 09:14 PM

Hey, it was a shoot out. We could win/lose that game any day. They beat us this time, but there's no reason why we can't beat them next time. It sucks that it goes down as a loss, but they played well. If we can hold on to the ball, we're golden.

I have to agree. Look at how many mistakes we made, against the Super Bowl Champions no less, and we were STILL never out of the game. I'd say that's progress. I said to myself, that the Saints could win 10 or 11 games, and still take the division, and still make the play offs. Just remember, Atlanta's schedule aint no cake walk, and they got beat by the Browns, whereas we beat them. We're still sitting pretty good. I ain't afraid of no Falcons! :lightsabres:

I don't think you can say that. You give up turnovers. You give up not one, but two 70+ runs.

You're not supposed to win that game.

On the bright side, you're not supposed to even be in a game like that. But the Saints were.

Which should speak volumes about this team.

Yes - We turned the ball over

Yes - We let up big plays

BUT - The Steelers held onto the ball and contained Deuce, Bush, and Colston for the most part(meaning no long touchdown plays.) They played PERFECT football and we still had a shot at the win. I know everyone hates the good loss comments but this is not an end of the world loss. We will be playing Cincy with a chip on our shoulders from this loss. I just hope that our DBs get a fire up their arse because 85 and the Housh are ready to blow up the joint............PLEASE GAWD GIVE US A WIN!!!!!

redjem25 11-13-2006 12:24 PM

I realize its not the end of the world. I am feeling a little better today but it still hurts. Good thing is everyday is one day closer to Sunday and kicking some Bengal Butt.
Ocho Cinco Who?

I understand being hurt and heartbroken but I don't feel that way. I can't explain it. Many times this season I've gotten a chill when it comes to the Saints, a feeling that something very special was happening. I don't feel it that strong all the time but the point is, I still feel it and nothing that's happened so far has taken it away. I think that's why I've taken this loss in stride because it's not that I don't care. I do care. I care so much I can taste it. But yesterday, yesterday was just an important learning step in the Saints becoming the team we've always wanted because they're going to continue to work at the things that caused them to lose that game because, IMO, they're all correctable.
