Henderson...?
Hi. New to forum, so bear with me. (Saints season ticket holder since 1972.) Where was Henderson yesterday? :?:
|
RE: Henderson...?
Welcome.
Nothing to bear. Great question. Answer is he was there. But he wasn't a factor. Anyone have any idea why Payton favors Copper over Henderson. You'd think that after the Tampa game that he'd have a bigger role. SFIAH |
RE: Henderson...?
From what I understand, with Payton, its a week to week thing. If you do not perform well in that weeks practice you do not play as much. You have to continually prove yourself. Devery has been laid back most of this season thus the lack of play time. BUT last week was a great game for him, I'd have expected him in more yesterday. As for Joe, I just heard on the news he could have played yesterday but coach was being cautious. Man, I bet he wishes he could have a redo.

RE: Henderson...?
Your right about Payton, if yo practice well you play everyone knows that Devery doesn't practice well He's a game player!!!!!!!!
|
RE: Henderson...?
It was a great opportunity for Henderson yet he failed to rise to the ocasion.
|
you'd think getting paid in the NFL warrants some cooperation from Devery, no?
|
Hebert said on WWL last night that Copper had a better week of practice and that's why he started.
|
man, you had season tickets for mor years than I lived, COOL! Welcome aboard.

Welcome to the BlackandGold Cotton....
Not sure if it's me but it seems that I only saw Henderson on the field once against Pitt, question is why?, being he had a huge game against the Bucs the week before... I'll leave the coaching to Payton and I'll continue to be the fan. |
He was but Drew didn't throw the ball his way, don't know if he was open or not!!!

I for one don't blame Copper or even Bush for the loss to the Steelers, "you win as a team and lose by a team".
Hopefully they learned something from that game.. |
yes but BUT if copper wouldnt have fumbled down there in steelers territory... with the first down we still would have had a chance to atleast score and tie the game.....
|
OK, besides Colston, lets see here.
Rookie? Not many games played. Had a huge game!!! Last play of the game loses the ball. Too me he played better than Reggie Bush. Look at the replay with all of the Steelers players around him. He started to get going and fell and lost it as he was going to the ground. Some Veterans do this every other game. He did good this game and I will not fault him for it. Now, Bush after 9 full games is aother story. He needed to know that he had to tuck it in. Tuck it in then the fourth quarter we are trying to win the game not come from behind. Just my thoughts |

The loss was a collection of mistakes. Copper's at the end only kept the team from keeping the game going. The team lost on 6 negative plays. You stop those negative plays and Pittsburg only scores 10 points in the game: 1) The two Parker runs. (led to 14 points) 2) The 1st two fumbles (led to 14 more points). 3) Craft getting burnt after the Bush fumble. (7 quick points from part 2). 4) Copper fumbling at the end ends the game. That's all. Stop even half of those 6 plays (and I'd add a 1/2 with Evans unsportmanlike conduct) and the Saints win. Limit mistakes. Hold on to the ball. No stupid penalties. No huge plays on defense. That's all this team needs now to be successful. SFIAH |
I heard on the radio that he was in the game, in a lot of plays, he just didn't get the ball thrown to him. He might not have been open. Also, if the Steelers know what he did in the Bucs game, then they may have tried to keep him covered.
|
Yeah we're a very high caliber offense somewhat like the Colts, offense does good we can bail out the defense, but those parker runs was critical. If we can nail-down offensive mistakes like fumbles we'll go as far as the NFC championship cuz if we keep winning we won't see the bears until the NFC Champ.

copper shows he can play. he might work out as the replacement for henderson next year. I think henderson will be the next to go alla stallworth. his yards per catch money value is just to high.
look for additional wr next year to be added to the team. we have to start looking for a replacement for Horn. In the next few years. horn may be our #3 in three years. |
