Trade Colston!
Just a few weeks ago a couple of people were saying that we should get rid of Joe when he was hurt and Colston was playing so well. They figured we should get what ever value we can for him. Now look, Colston was hurt today and Devery and Copper filled in and did a good job. Do we hear the same cries for Marques. No we don't.
I think that we have an awsome core of WR's why get rid of anyone. We need them all. You never know when one will go down for any length of time. Go Saints! Keep up the good work. |
RE: Trade Colston!
By the way I was not being literal
Get Well Soon Colston |
RE: Trade Colston!
We don't trade any of our WR's next year, I think Horn has one good year left in him.
Colston on the other hand is part of the future for the Saints along with Brees,Henderson Bush and hopefully my favorite player Deuce... Copper, I want to see how he turns out in New Orleans, he's the type of player that must be looked at seriously because at times he's a good receiver... Dame, I never really gave it a lot of thought but the Saints have a lot of weapons on offense.. |
Good stuff. I think Colston going down is a PRIME example of why we need to keep guys like Horn. Henderson has stepped in these past couple of weeks and has put up the same numbers that Colston was putting up. Honestly our offense hasn't missed a beat. Obviously having Colston healthy makes us a better team, but we're more than deep enough right now to make up for his absence.
Trade no one, ESPECIALLY not Joe Horn who has earned the right to retire a Saint. |
I agree. We've got the talent pool at WR that HOC dream of. Add in the experience / mentoring that Joe Horn brings to the table, sprinkle in an actual quarterback and WOW! . BTW, that one handed grab he made today was amazing.
I hope me boss doesn't enforce the dresscode to strictly tomorrow because as sure as i am still having victory drinks, i'm wearing my Saints game attire tomorrow. |
All I can say is I agree. I had a blast driving thru Atlanta in my big rig after the game with my Saints banners flying. I didn't get any Michael Vick Salutes tho, lol.
|
You scared the S#@! out of me. All I seen was trade Colston. I agree with what you're saying but Colston is in a whole differ category than Horn. If it came down with having to part with Horn to extend Colston contract, well I have to say nice knowing you Horn. Don't get me wrong I still want to see Horn in the Black and Gold cuz i still think he have 2 or more good yrs in him.

They will do what is best fot the team. I am just happy the Falcon WRs are not not the Saints team. They can't catch.
|
My boi Dh is finally getting a chance to show what he can do. He's dooing it pretty well. I agree, though. Colston, Horn, DH, and Copper will get Brees a MVP this year. Horn really makes Colston the WR he is though, he tutors him and attracts attention. And did you see the respect the CB's give our WR's, they're scared
|
So we do not improvement at WR now? man game to game how everything changes. I say of the group Hernderson is the best Trade Bait. Not that I want to see it happen, but it is true. Horn is there but age and injuries kill the value. look for horn to step into a lesser role in two to three years. Till some of the younger guys get more experience. We still need to add one top notch young WR to the group.

Henderson improved greatly this year and Colston was a very lucky pick for us. |
Copper, Production? What??? Copper got one catch guys for a touchdown because the Falcon defenders were out of position...It is going to take more than one fluke catch for him to get out of my dog house...His smiling after a crucial drop a couple of weeks ago and his fumbles are too much to get him out right now...If you listen to the way he talked in the post game you will see he does not have the same mentality as the rest of the team...He talked about what a hige win this was and talked about playoffs...Peyton talked about this being one win on the road against a division opponent thats all...They guys still scares me...
DH, Brees, Deuce, and Karney won that game...Karney made a couple of the best blocks I have ever seen him make, and DH smoked DeAngelo Hall...gotta love that |
Man, for minute I was gonna ask you what tree you fell out of until you distinguished that you were just kidding. After Horn, Henderson & Colston I really feel that we need a young fourth guy to fill the gap that will produce if any of the top three go out for any length of time.
Just my 0.2¢ ... |
Our WRs are playing great. When Colston comes back we'll be healthy, happy, fast, and big. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
|
exactly... we keep them, that is one less area to address this off-season.
|
does anyone still miss donte?
"What would our recieving corps look like without Stallworth" I remember someone saying that during training camp...now who was it |
Hey, Hollywood Joe have a couple of good years left on those tires of his. Colston, and Henderson are awesome, but the jury is still out on Copper. Just imagine ol' Hollywood as a possession receiver with CoCo and Dev on the outside, talk about a mismatch, our receiving core is fine just the way it is. GO...1ST... PLACE...SAINTS!
|
rarely do I remember the team's recieving talent being this deep accompanied by a quarterback who is able and willing to exploit the potential. And what's better is that they are relatively young or just headed into their prime. If they minimize the turnovers and they can go far inot the playoffs. The ATL game was a benchmark of how they can handle the pressure of adversity.
