Saints sign DE/LB
<The Saints added defensive end/linebacker Trevor Johnson, who last played for the New York Jets, to the roster, and he participated in practice. Johnson, 6 feet 4, 260 pounds, was a seventh-round draft choice from Nebraska in 2004 and played in 25 games over two seasons in New York. He was cut in late September. The Saints have allowed 617 yards rushing to their past three opponents.>
<To clear a roster spot for Johnson, the Saints placed tight end Ernie Conwell on injured reserve. > http://www.benmaller.com/ |

Lets hope this guy can tackle.

I guess they needed depth on the front seven.

well not my first choice but after reading a bit. he seems to be a true DE?LB?. fast but not quick so pass rushing could be a good. Does have above average hands. some people thought he could possibly be turned into a TE coming out of college. hmm wonder if the saints are toying with that idea in the long run? He had 2 INT's in the last pre season game this year.
