Lets go Phili

As I said weeks ago we will be cheering for them the rest of the season.
If they beat Carolina they not only give us a 2 game lead in the division but in the playoff race.
NFC
Seed Team Record

1 Chicago 10-2 (NFC North leader)
2 New Orleans 8-4 (NFC South leader)
3 Seattle 8-4 (NFC West leader)
4 Dallas 8-4 (NFC East leader)

The Rest :duel:

5 N.Y. Giants 6-6
6 Carolina 6-5
7 Minnesota 5-7
8 Philadelphia 5-6
9 San Francisco 5-7
10 St. Louis 5-7

The rest do not matter... :flush:

Love saying that.

Hey, Philly's not out of the playoff race. Wins against Carolina, Washington, the G-men and Hotlanta and they're probably going to be the Saints' 1st round playoff opponent.

The Saints have a good chance of catching Chicago with the way the Bears are playing. Believe me, they can't continue winning games like that. And obviously with the Saints impeccable NFC record so far, it's not all that inconceivable.

Go Saints!

Atlanta is in there somewhere at 6-6.

RE: Re: Lets go Phili

true enough. atlanta at 6-6 behind Caolina. there they will stay. carolina still has tie breaker advantage over them. and head of Minnesota.
the point is a philli win puts us 2 games up on the rest of the division and the NFC for at least home field in round one of the playoffs.. :P
god I still love saying that.

How does Carolina have the tie-breaker over ATL? Carolina lost to them.

If the Panthers lose tonight against the Eagles and we beat Dallas next week it will really look good for the saints, the only thing they have to do IMO is win 2 out of the next 4 and that should win the NFC South, beating the Panthers in week 16 is a big plus, keep it rolling New Orleans...

Yup...I'd love to see the Saints snag homefield and a bye.

YES!!! Delhomo blows another one. Heh heh heh. Breathing room baby. Don't get me wrong, I like Delhomme.... Just not tonite, or for the rest of the season. Let's go beat up some butt cowboys!

I don't know about you guys, but I don't want our saints to have a bye, I think it really screwed with us during the second half of the season, and a big thing in Peyton's system is a consistent, building routine which if we get a bye in the playoff, I fear would jar us, like it did against the Ravens. Besides, more Saints playoff games the merrier!!! (since we'll win em all! :) )

I'm going to put myself out on a really big limb here, but as far as the NFC goes, the only two teams I think we should fear are Dallas, and the Bears. I do not see any other NFC team that matches up with our wide outs, when they are all healthy. Our achilles heal is defense, but if they can play consistently enough to hold the big play potential to a minimum, then once again, I don't see anyone who we cannot beat. Look at it this way, we've only had one loss to an NFC team, and that was Carolina. They would play us tough if Kenny Mayne were QBing for them. We swept the Falcons, and the Bucs. Beat Green Bay at Lambeau, and destroyed the Niners. Now, the only two teams we have played with actual winning records, in my opinion anyway, are Baltimore, and Cincy. Both games lost big, but at the same time, we were NEVER out of these games.

This weekend is the true test of our team guys. If we can go into Dallas, and win, unless we beat ourselves, there is no reason whatsoever, that we can't win out. Giants have injuries galore, and Washington does too. Anyone else think this way?

hagan714 12-05-2006 05:59 AM

your right. i did not check the stats. but who cares tody. we are 2 up in the division and have a 2 game lead on those wild card teams still battling. with 4 games to go
just got over excited I guess.

:P

Jake is what he has always been...average. All that "I'll thow it up for grabs and let my WR bail me out" crap has caught up with him. Also, he's a whiney little beeeotch. He is the Tim Duncan (aka whiney little beeeotch) of the NFL only Duncan has real talent. Jakie-poo just cost his team ANOTHER game, and they're ready to bench his butt in Carolina. I couldn't be happier.

I'm not so impressed lately with the Bears as of late and it's only a matter of time (as in soon) that their 'lack of focus' (starting with Grossman) brings them to earth. They are lucky to be 9-2. Extremely. Their December schedule is soft and it is time for those teams to prove themselves as spoilers.http://www.tweak3d.net/forums/images...s/thumbsup.gif
Dallas, on the other hand, could not have picked a better time (or worse time :P ) to find their groove. I would hope that the Saints defense humbles that Romo lad in a big way. The Saints need to be jacked up for this one like they have in no other game this season. If so, that momentum will carry them through the rest of December until the game with CAR willl be hopefully be irrelevant.
