RB Reggie Bush, who tied a club-record with four touchdowns and had nine receptions for 131 yards and 37 rushes on 10 carries, on Sunday in the Saints' 34-10 win over the San Francisco 49ers, was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week. This is the first NFC Player of the Week Award for Bush, though he has captured an NFC Special Teams Player of the Week and and an NFL Rookie of the Week Award.

The rookie from Southern Cal had three rushing touchdowns and one receiving, accounted for six first downs and his receiving yardage total included a 74-yard burst through a handful of San Francisco defenders off a screen pass.
