It appears from all that I have read that Thomas was taking ashtma medication AND the illegal substance Clenbuterol. I am very familiar with this drug and it's uses and effects. I can tell you that athletes in a lot of sports especially sports where you need to control weight such as boxing and football use this drug because it makes your heart and entire system run hotter and faster. It gives you more energy to work out thus the slight gains in muscle mass that result, but it's main use is weight loss and energy enhancement.
I can also tell you that some third world countries prescribe Clenbuterol to humans but it is illegal for humans in the US, and is mainly used to in the treatment of horses. It is a very dangerous drug and the NFL's tests are extremely good at finding it.
Now I don't know if Thomas took it or not, but if I was an ashmatic and were taking ashma medicine, had financial inducements to keep my weight down and thought I could trick the system and give myself a built in excuse to try and cheat the system, then Clenbuterol would be the drug I would go with.
