Now I know why Karney's so good.

RE: Now I know why Karney
Yeah I had read about the connection somewhere. I'm glad that Karney got those 3 TDs last week in front of a national audience. He's probably the best pure blocking FB in the NFC right now, but because of the lack of publicity the position gets, voters for the Pro Bowl usually go with the same incumbent over and over again because they don't know any better. I'm glad Karney got his name out there.
Being in London currently, there aren't any highlight shows of NFL games, so maybe you guys can help me. Did his 3-Falcon block get any recognition by the national news media? That was amazing. One of those great football plays that gets passed up by people only concerned with stats and such. |
he's so good because no one expects him to be good. Defenses have too much to contend with as it is. It sounds arrogant but it is just an observation I had. Karney's first touch down came with the two Dallas defenders looking straight at him just before he got the ball. And he got in because they were expecting him to only contribute with blocking.

I hear a national media person mention him blocking the 3 Falcon players, I think. BUt I don't recall who it was.
|
Actually, I think it was mentioned on ESPN and in a few articles on Fox, SI, and CBS that most people only knew Karney (before the Cowboys game) for blocking three players at once.
And in the Dallas game, I saw a few times where he'd block one person with each arm. |

From what I've seen this year Karney is the second best blocking full back (behind Neal) this season. And now that he scored 3 td's that just give defenders 1 more thing to watch for which makes our #1 ranked Off even more deadly.

I mentioned their connection a couple of weeks ago...I forget the topic...Karney and Neal also appeared on NFL Network together before the draft and talked about the FB position and how they met...
Reggie has also trained with a lead pro at his position, LaDainian Tomlinson... |
