They don't even have a great RB anymore. Have you seen Alexander this year? Classic example of someone packing it in when they get that fat contract.

Uhhh... you do realize he's been hurt most of the year right? You also do realize they lost All-Pro 50 million dollar guard Steve Hutchinson right?

Yeah, Shaun's been injured. He's still one of the most dangerous backs in the NFC, and the Seahawks are a definite threat, especially if their D rounds back into form.

I'm watching the game right now. I never thought I would see myself in a situation where I'm rooting for the 49ers. Almost halftime, 7-0 Seattle.

The 9'ers is giving Seattle a good fight.

We never play well against Seattle. For whatever reason, they are not a good matchup for us. They have a huge oline and an offense with a lot of weapons when they are healthy. But for some reason, i would rather meet up with them in the dome instead of Dallas. I gotta think that Parcells with a revenge factor would be tough.

The 40ers won, and that helps the Saints.

Only slightly. All it means is that Seattle cannot secure the #2 seed once the Saints gets to 10 wins due to conference records. Seattle already has 5 conference losses and the Saints cannot finish with 5 conference losses (8-1 with 3 NFC games left).

Seattle could theoretically still secure the #2 seed, but it would take a Saints implosion for it to happen.

Let's do it this way. Teams left for the #2 seed:

Now: Saints, Dallas, Giants, Philly, Seattle, Atlanta.

Saints beat Washington and go to 10 wins: Saints, Giants.

Dallas is eliminated due to the head to head loss to the Saints last week.

Philly is eliminated due to the head to head loss to the Saints a while ago.

Seattle is eliminated due to conference record. Seattle already has 5 conference losses, and right now the Saints cannot lose more than 4 conference games (3 after beating Washington)

Atlanta eliminated because Saints win the division and the #2 seed goes to division champion. Even if Atlanta won out at this point, the Saints have a 2-0 head to head against Atlanta.

Saints beat Giants and goes to 11 wins: SAINTS!

The Giants would have 7 losses so could not get to 11 wins. Plus even if they tied the Saints would have the head to head advantage.

So it's possible for both the Washington game (to secure the division) and the Giants game (to secure the #2 seed) along with the Carolina game (simply because they need to be beat down!) will all be crucial.

Plus in the last 5 years every team who have made deep playoff runs and won the SB played white hot in December. Big MO is another reason to keep the fire lit.

After the way that defense folded last night i am less concerned with them. lets see the next two games first before we relax. but they can lose heart and that was a good thing to see.
