redskins

i am looking at the fourums list and there seems to be nothing about this weeks game. Are we in for a let down?
I think(and hope) the team maintains its focus.

GO SAINTS

RE: redskins

The Saints will beat Wash.
They know how important this game is, Payton will not allow his team to take Wash. lightly.
I hope the officials have the NFC S. Champion caps for the players in the Dome because the Saints will be wearing them after the game.
I will order my cap as soon as they are available.

ACADEMY Sports will be selling shirts and hats immediately after the game Sunday. It was in the paper yesterday.

... if it were the middle of the season, or even November, maybe you'd see more talk about the game, and hear things like "trap game" or "letdown after big win", or "on any given Sunday", etc., but we are in December, and the Saints are playing at home for the division title, against a bad Redskins team. There's no "trap game" or "letdown" in December. It's either "we are for real and we win in December the games we are supposed to" or "we are pretenders", and I don't think the Saints are pretenders at this point.

I think John Clayton said something to the effect of "the Saints smell blood in the water". No let down. The Saints faithful will be LOUD and PROUD. I wanna hear "Who Dat?!" all the way here from Tampa.

"LOUD and PROUD"

I can only imagine how loud it will be inside the Dome Sunday, I hope FOX has their meter to measure the sound decibels inside the Dome, it will be as loud as a fright train pulling a Mardi-Gras float loaded with screaming Saint fans.

Hey Fleured...I have a question. I live in Dolphin country now but I should be in Sarasota by next summer. Is there a group of Saints fans you know up there that annually go to the Saints Bucs game? Once I move there I intend on going to that game year after year after....well you get it.

well we seem to be rolling right now. we need to keep that up and maintain focus heading into the playoffs. this is an important game and if we can't get up for clinching the division then i will be let down. i think we come out and play well. Washington scares me only because they have nothing to play for. that is why we need to get them out of the game quick. put a 14 spot on them and they should fold. leave them in the game and who knows what could happen. we should win but you never know what can happen week to week.

I came down here from Upstate New York somewhat recently and I think I'm the only Saints fan within the region. I do get nasty stares when I' m wearing my jerseys here in Buc Country. I do not know of any group assemblies that go bound for the Superdome. :( . Believe me, I'd be there.

I think it's about time that we as Saints fans start expecting to win instead of expecting possibly to lose. There's no reason whatsoever why we should lose a game like this, this late in the season.

Joe Gibbs is a great coachand his team's only motivation is that they can only play spoilers. If they get down early, they'll fold rather than push and injure themselves and ruin their post-redskins NFL career. If Payton has the offense up at the very beginning to go crazy, the 2nd half could be a snoozer.

That's only if the offense comes ready to go immediately.

I agree Joe Gibbs is a great coach.
But I believe it will take more then just
getting them down early and they will
fold. I feel if we get on tope and stay
on tope through the 3th quarter they
will fold.

I think the Saints should try and go up by 14 early to force the Skins to abandon the run some and start passing, once they start passing we got them, it will be almost like us stopping the Cowboys offense.
Last week the Saints made a huge statement, they need to do it again this week to go into the Giant game smoking.
Every week I like to pick a player who I think will shine for the Saints, I like D. Henderson this week, I think he's up for a huge game...

damn it...need my sleep. :(
answer: no groups that go. Just the individual, sporatic seatings. Judging from the Cowboys game, the larger crowds go to Irvin, TX
