Terrance Copper

He went down late in the game with what looked like the same injury that Colston had earlier this season. Have the Saints issued a report on his injury?

RE: Terrance Copper

I've seen no reports either. But, like you, I was in pain for him. The replay showed it looks like the preverbial High Ankle sprain.

I know, almost identical to the way Colston got injured. When do they issue an injury report?

JOESAM2002 12-25-2006 02:16 PM

Wednesday, I think.

LongTimeFan 12-25-2006 02:57 PM

I hope he's ok, if he can't play it may be time for Jamal to step up.
Time for Horn to get back in the lineup, it's playoff time baby..

If Copper misses some portions of practice on Wednesday he'll be on the injury report

He came back in the game, so it may not have been as bad as Colstons' injury. But, Joe might be back for the playoffs.

OK, I wasn't aware that he returned to the game. Did we ever put Henderson back in after that dropped pass? I never heard his name after that.

I might be off base, but why does Payton put our wide receivers out there to block on a sweep or off tackle play to have them exposed to be run over by our backs or rolled up on by the defense.
They are sitting ducks out there, same kind of play when Colston got hurt.

JeauxW 12-26-2006 05:06 PM

Having the recievers block is what makes the play effective. You have a better shot at breaking a big run than you do pulling a guard.

It might tip off the play if you lined up a fullback out there.

Ah, but if you paid attention in the Giants game ...Karney was lined up at wide reciever.

BlackandBlue 12-26-2006 08:34 PM

...and he sticks out like a sore thumb when he's lined out in the flat.

As far as the Giants are concerned right now, I think Drew could have called the plays from inside their defensive huddle and they would have worked. That bunch has been phoning in the games since October.

They could send them on routes that would take the DB's away from the play side.
