Who would you like the Saints to play in divisinal Round?
EAGLES, GIANTS, SEATTLE, OR THE COWBOYS?
|
RE: Who would you like the Saints to play in divisinal Round
Giants for sure...
The Eagles are playing really good right now, but I think we match up well against them, the Saints are also playing well right now, did you see the first drive Sunday?, Brees took his team down-field easily, the Panthers didn't know how to defend that drive... NFC teams don't want to play us or the Eagles, IMO they're the top two being the toughest. |
RE: Who would you like the Saints to play in divisinal Round
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think it's possible for us to face the Giants in the divisional round.
I saw that the Bears will get to play the lowest of the remaining seeds and we would play the highest of the remaining seeds. Since the Giants are #6 (the lowest seed), the Bears would get the Giants if they advance. Anyway, to answer the question, I'd prefer to play the Cowboys. I know they're looking for payback, but, heck, they just lost to Detroit LOL. |
RE: Who would you like the Saints to play in divisinal Round
The Cowboys have NO pass rush and can't cover so the Saints would have a good chance in beating them.
Also, Romo looked awful Sunday but some of that was because his line could not protect him, his line has been playing terrible in the last 3-4 weeks. |
RE: Who would you like the Saints to play in divisinal Round
... and Romo is a bit overrated. 8)
|
RE: Who would you like the Saints to play in divisinal Round
we exposed his weekness in the game against them. all of the other teams watched our game against them and began to use the same techniques and defense packages.
|
RE: Who would you like the Saints to play in divisinal Round
And to think Romo made the Pro-Bowl.
How did he get in?, is the NFC that weak when it comes to QB's? |
RE: Who would you like the Saints to play in divisinal Round
The guy hasnt played a whole season. and Yes the NFC QB's are very week. Seriously Mark Bulger?? What about Hasselbeck? I DEMAND A RECOUNT ON THE BALLOTING
|
RE: Who would you like the Saints to play in divisinal Round
Don't they vote on the Pro-Bowlers in Florida?
If so then yes I want a recount also. |
RE: Who would you like the Saints to play in divisinal Round
Give me the Cowgirls any day of the week...
and lets all hope for a Bears defeat... which would place the NFC Championship game for the very first time in the Super Dome. |
RE: Who would you like the Saints to play in divisinal Round
The NFC Championship in the Dome does sound good! Would it be better and louder than the Monday Night game? I hope so...
|
The Cowboys were so generous in giving us a warm welcome to Texas Stadium I think its only seemly that we roll out the gold carpet to the Superdome and all of New Orleans's splendor.
|
My ideal playoff vision;
Giants advance and then beat Chicago. Cowboys advance and we squash RomoObama hopes again. Giants come home to the Dome with homeboy Eli for the NFC Championship. (then I get to show the Giants' fans in the dome how we treat guest, since they were so rude to me 2 weeks ago in their house). |
You were in New York dude...
Should have expected that.....but what goes around......... |
I pick the cowgirls....Play-action to Karney, pass to Colston and game over....the linebackers and safeties will bum rush the line when they see Karney head for it...LOL
|
It would be nice to beat the Girls again, but for that to happen, the Giants would have to beat the Eagles too. I just don't think NY can do it.
|
I would love it if the Saints could play the Raiders in the divisional playoff game, but other than that, don't care.
|
Eagles, Tank is back and ready to plow someone. Besides that little cinderella thing they have going on without McNabb will be bound to end pretty soon
|
I wouldn't want any part of the Raiders, they're offense is like no other team in the NFL.
|
according to Sportsline.com, we'll be facing the Giants or the Eagles.
http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/playoffrace/bracket Personally, I'm just glad we're not facing the Seahawks. I'm pulling for the Giants, but not too worried about the Eagles. Thoughts? |

Yeah your exactly right... we would get the high seed and chicago would get the low seed... so no way we play the Giants unless its in the NFC championship... i would like to play the girls again... but honestly i don't care considering we have beat everyone in the playoffs below us...(Other then the seahawks, and we haven't played them yet) But in previous years Alexander has eaten us up... but he hasn't seen the new and improved NEW ORLEANS D!i! |
RE: Re: RE: Who would you like the Saints to play in divisin
I dont think there is any scenario that would allow us to play the Giants...Aren't they the #6 seed....I thought they were, if they win they go to Chicago...I thought it was Cowgirls, Seahawks, or Eagles for us???
Cowgirls please.... |

To get back to the original post, let's get ready for Stallworth & Howard's return to the dome, cause that's who we'll be playing. Do you really think the sorry @$$ Giants can beat Philly? No way, and they're the #3 seed so it won't matter what happens in the Dallas/Seattle game. I would LOVE for the Giants to pull out a victory, but it just won't happen, even the loyal Giant fans up here are just satisfied they MADE the playoffs, and they KNOW they;re gonna get crushed. You can't roll into Philly (as a divisional team no less) in a wild card game, after they just went on a tear to win their division & make the playoffs, and expect to win. That, my friends, is the bottom line. Things are really starting to heat up around my way, and if you wanna see an ugly stadium, come to Lincoln Field this weekend and observe the parking lots and the stadium crowd inside. It will be a brutal bloody brawl, and I'm not talking about on the field! |
Hey lets not bash the state of NJ. I was also at the game. Maybe it was the W Smith Jersey that had them confused but other than the hecklers on the way in which got there fair share politely back. But I'm also native to the area and did not venture up to the nose bleeds. Try going to a Miami Jets game at the stadium that's where it gets fun.
|
Oh and to add to the last post. I'd rather see the Sea Pigeons Week 2 over the Eagles of Dallas.
|
According to NFL.com, the Bears get the lowest of the remaining seeds, so if the Giants win, then the Bears get them. There's no way the Saints can play the G-men.
Given that unassailable fact, then I'd rather play the Seahawks, which requires the G-men winning. If Philly wins, we play them no matter what. |

So was I... :D |
I was thinking that saints get the winner of the Philly Giants game, but Im not sure about that.
If Philly takes a dive and the giants win, and the seahawks beat the cowboys we get the seahawks. Dallas is the only team we cant face next round seeing as how they are the sixth seed, so its a trip to chi town for them no matter what. So its a toss up between Seattle, Philly, and NYG. I would rather face Philly again, We beat them once with SuperMan on the team that day. The moment the Saints showed the world how to deal with Romo, the Cowboys became easy pickings. So Im really not impressed with the Eagles just yet. I also find it a little amazing that three of the five other teams that made the playoffs the saints beat. Yet no one speaks of this, kinda strange dont cha think? |
I can't think of which team I would want them to play, I just hope the team is tired when face the Saints.
