Deuce and Fujita are MVPs

Can you give more than those two?

I aspire to that intensity and effort.

Go Saints

Fujita was incredible. Like I said, Thomas is either brilliant or terrible. We need an upgrade. I trust Craft more.

Grant is always awesome, even if his impact doesn't always show up in the stats.

Fujita played great, but Duece shouldn't have to share the game ball with anyone. He was dominant today.

maximkat 01-13-2007 11:51 PM

my mvp's are bellamy for getting in garcia's face and fujita for the stop at the 5 yard line on 3rd and 1for a 2 yard loss. as soon as that happened i said to myself if we win that game, its probably going to be the most important play as to why. we gave up a lot of big plays, but stopped them when we needed to.

Brann 01-14-2007 12:14 AM

Three plays changed this game: Weatherford and his run, Fujita making the stop for a loss, and Hollis saying "boo" and making the guard jump.

My MVP goes to whatever camera man probably got fired after showing the woman wearing the 'F*** THE EAGLES' t-shirt !!! I spewed my beer and everyone around me was even more fired up after that shot!!!

JeauxW 01-14-2007 08:23 AM

Yea, my wife passed the TV & said...what did that shirt say? I think it said F*** THE EAGLES. I'll have to see if I can get it off of the dvd & make a wallpaper out of it.

Deuce is the MVP of this game. It gets said a lot, but he seriously willed this team to victory. I mean there were five or six runs I can remember where he was hit at the line of scrimmage or shortly after it, and instead of going down, he muscled up and rattled off more yards. The 5-yard TD run comes to mind. The 20-yarder where he ran over Sean Considine comes to mind. This guy is a beast, and just like I heard several Saints players say, he is the heart of this team. Yes Reggie needs his touches, and Drew Brees is the best QB in the league, but when you can get a guy to take an entire team and put them on his shoulders and run them to victory, you can't ask for much more else. Actually, you know what, I guess you could because it couldn't have happened to a better person. I always think of three words when it comes to Deuce McAllister: class class class. He is committed to the city of New Orleans. He is committed to the Gulf South. He is committed to helping as much as he can. He has humbly taken the back seat to Reggie Bush (even though he can still dominate a game like he did last night) and he has never complained. Not once! Does that impress anybody else as much as it impresses me? In today's game of T.O.'s and Ocho Cinco's, to have a Pro Bowl RB take the back seat to a rookie and not say a word speaks volumes about Deuce's character. He has been my favorite Saint ever since he joined the team, I hope you guys see why.

spot on.
In addition, I think the whole team was the MVP last night. Many contributions in key moments won this game when the Eagles could have clamped down on the the Saints' missed opportunities.

TheDeuce 01-14-2007 08:49 AM

Yes I agree, the entire team (except maybe Fred Thomas who played like a dog) was fantastic. I could just rattle off names: Fujita, Weatherford, Brees, Bush, Grant, Shanle, Bullocks, etc etc of guys who played their hearts out. I just think with Deuce tearing his ACL last season and seeing how much he has personally taken on his back to help Katrina victims, my heart was thankful that he got to win that one in such grand fashion.

sac-a-lait 01-14-2007 09:09 AM

Deuce was playing out of his mind.

How many times in the past are we stopped at the end of the game and go 3 and out and leave the other team with a minute to go to beat us, but NOT last night. The runs he made for the first downs were incredible, and the Rugby Scrum at the goal line indicates what kind of a team we have.

Deuce looked like John Riggins runing last night--when it mattered.

Fujita is the man as well, what a play near the goal line.

Now if we can get Seattle to win today, all will be well.

TheDeuce 01-14-2007 09:38 AM

Man it doesn't matter who wins today, these Saints have a destiny

mighty12 01-14-2007 11:51 AM

Here is what I saw from this team..............Up 13-7 in the second and the Eagles drive down the field and score to make it 13-14, and the Saints get a blown call on a hail mary pass THAT WAS CAUGHT! They go into the half down by one, and then come back out only to have Westbrook break a long run to make it 13-21, the former Saints teams would have dropped their heads and gotten blown out, but this team went right back on the field drove down and scored. That was THE biggest drive of the game. The crowd was right back into it, and the Eagles scored only 3 points after that. What a game, and I give my game ball to Every man on that field and in that dome wearing black and gold.

leilung 01-15-2007 04:23 AM

Guys, I've been beating this drum for the whole season, but someone else is taking notice of one of the true keys to this team's success. Deuce!!!

By God, I'm glad we have this guy!!!http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_yl...&type=lgns

sarge06 01-15-2007 10:14 AM

The entire team deserves it. They all played their asses off.
