Chicago Sports Writer Picks SAINTS
From today's Chicago Sun Times:
Predicting the outcome: Bears vs. Saints January 15, 2007 BY NEIL HAYES Staff Reporter Whether it's knocking the ball out of Drew Brees' hand, stripping a ball carrier and recovering the fumble or intercepting errant passes, the Bears must create turnovers like they did earlier in the season to give themselves a better chance of defeating the Saints in Sunday's NFC Championship Game and advancing to the Super Bowl for the first time since the 1985 season. A turnover edge will greatly improve their chances. Otherwise, if you put a gun to my head -- and there are plenty of Bears fans who might like to -- I'd have to make what is sure to be an unpopular prediction: Saints 24, Bears 17. I like the sound of this. Even the sports guys in Chicago know that the odds are not in their favor. It seems like sportscasters and writers everywhere are finally giving our SAINTS the respect they deserve. |
Go SAINTS!!!!!
