After seeing his "coaching" in NO, I'm loath to take anything that gum-chomping halfwit says with anything less than a truckful of salt.

Of course he picked Chicago. He's a Chicago guy, he lives there, & owns businesses there. He played for the Bears and coached them. What do you expect. The only thing he's ever done for New Orleans is trade away all of our draft picks so he could get the pothead.

at least someone is showing some love for the Bears, even though it's similar to the love shown for FlavaFlav on his tv show.

3 or 4 weeks ago he picked the saints to be in the superbowl...

Right on the mark with Ditka. He didn't have a choice. He's been on the Saints bandwagon since midseason. So I don't fault the guy. He does have to live in Chicago.

Hoge is an idiot, he hardly ever makes any sense, to tell you the truth I don't think the other sportscasters on CBS think much of hime either...Just watch how they look at him when he talks...its like they are terrified of what he might say next....

I knew exactly what I was going to see before I even opened this thread....and that was alot of Ditka-bashing for his prediction..

The guy predicted that a 13-3 team (14-3 counting last week), playing a home playoff game, would win. Exactly what is so "idiotic" about that? Just because he didn't say what some of you wanted to hear? Pathetic.

It's not his prediction that makes him idiotic. It's his past. A lot of Saints fans have a sour taste in their mouth from the Ditka era. They believe we should have done better, but his coaching held us back. Plus, he tends to say some pretty crazy stuff when he gives his thoughts and opinions on NFL games.

So, it's not THIS prediction - it's just everything else.

Right......but I guarantee if he'd picked the Saints and it was posted here......the insults in the thread would be less frequent.

And yes I too lived thru the Ditka era in New Orleans..

The insults would be less frequent, but I, personally, wouldn't feel any more confident going into this game.
