Guys it was a great season. The city of New Orleans got a much needed boost of energy from this team, the Saints remain in New Orleans. And that is most important.


Thanks to everyone who contributed this season. Thanks for the re-birth of blackandgold.net.

We saw great growth this season as we jumped in overall membership from 3900 members to 4458. By the way, the member list for the forum only represents those who participate in the forum. The actual member list is on the front page, left main menu (for those who doubt our numbers).

Again, congrats to the Bears, they played a great game. No excuses, we lost in the "American" way, and thank the lord this is not College football where the media crowns the darlings of the year.

Thanks to you Halo, it takes a lot of hard work to keep a site such as this one up and running and you did a great job with it this season, we lost speed for a while but you corrected the problem fairly quickly and it now runs really fast.
I noticed the growth but more so what the old\new members brought to the site lately, we had a lot of good threads here this season..
The Saints season is over but I hope everyone continues to post because we still have a lot to discuss, Super Bowl, Saints players who may or may not return for next season. Horn?, etc., upcoming draft, LSU basketball....

Thanks to everyone that helped make the BNG a little better..

I am heartbroken right now, but so proud to be a Saints fan. They showed class all the way, even in defeat.

Nothing but good things to look forward to next year.

What an amazing season. As horrible as I feel right now, I have my head held high because this team brought joy to me every week. I LOVE YOU GUYS, and I cannot wait until next year.

I don't see how anyone can be mad at a time like this. Disappointed, definitely, but this team gave us so much more than anyone could have asked for this year. Not only that, but after Coach Payton has a full year under his belt now, he will continue to mold this team into a bona fide Super Bowl contender and not just "a feel good story".

Thank you Halo. This site has given us Saints fans an opportunity to share in this super season.

Great season. Went much further than we were suppose to. We got playoff experience now. Gotta go all the way in the next 2-3 years. No excuses.

I apologize. I'm going to be angry for the next few weeks, so maybe I should just stay off here, until I cool down. Proud of the season, but not proud of the game played today one bit. No where near ready for it. If it was close, then I could deal with it. It wasn't. We were embarassed.

You no guys im mad about the lost but im happy in a way just to see what this team did this year after all those years of losing to finally see this team doing something good fells great CANT WAIT TILL NEXT SEASON !!!!!!

Part of me will always wonder what could have been, if only Seattle had closed the deal on Chicago when they had every opportunity to do so.

Oh well, even though I'm not really a Peyton Manning fan, I'm sure I"ll have no problems rooting for him the Super Bowl now. After all, he's been overdue for this for quite a while, I'd say.

Obviously this has been one of the best Saints seasons ever. And this site makes being a Saints fan a helluva lotta fun even though the other guys don't think it exists. Thanks for your time and energy.

What a season.
I was extremely disappointed earlier today but looking back, it was an incredible year, wasn't it?

I remember sitting in Tiger Stadium and watching us get drilled by the Panthers and Dolphins. There was such a hopeless feeling pervading the whole place.
Fast forward....


I can't think of an adjective that really captures how awesome this was. Coach Payton made a TEAM.
Drew, Deuce, Reggie, Joe, Jahri Evans (?!), Marques, Will Smith, Grant, Hollis, Fujita, etc, were all part of a TEAM. That's amazing.

Seeing everyone else jump on the bandwagon? Sort of annoying, but jesus

I think some of you guys have got us confused with the Arizona Cardinals. Compare their history to ours, and we look like the Green Bay Packers. At least since the merger.

You know what? If they play that game in the Dome the results are a LOT better IMO. What a GREAT season to follow up 3-13! Let's go get a CB (or two), another WR, LB, and maybe a DT. Let's play for the Top Seed next year and whip ass all the way to the Super Bowl!
