I guess since I am incrediably bored I will refute your claim that the center is the most important player on a football team.

The centers main purpose is to snap the ball to the QB and block defenders. He may or may not be responsible for calling blocking assignments. That\'s is it my friend, that\'s all he does. It\'s an important job, but hardly the most important on the field.

On the other hand the QB\'s main job is to direct all of the offense down the field. He is responsible for handing off, throwing, making changes at the line of scrimmage,(including O-line blocking assignments), and is in communication with the coaches on the sideline. Does the center have an ear peice in his helmet?

If you need futher explination, I saw a website www.footballbasics.com......It explains such things as all teams have an offense and defense. The game consists of 4-quarters, etc.... It will provide you with a basic football understanding.

Let me just say this. In recent months, as Gator has seemed to take his ball and go home, while my padowin Pak, has posted with less frequency, as subguy, Saintfan, and all of the other guys who used to post all the time have come back with less and less frequency, (or at least it seems to me), B&B has been one of the few guys who has posted regularly, intelligently, and on topic. Sure he may have been dragged down into the mud and slung some of it himself a few times, but haven\'t we all?

I\'m sure the assume that my little jabs at BillyC are not taken seriously by the recipient, and do fully expect reprocussions. Look, we have all hurled barbs........last season we had some great chat. Believe me I can tongue and cheek with the best of them. Also can verbally sever without issue. Now, I have been registered here since 8/29/02. I love football. Some \"ribbing\" is fun, but some of this is ridiculous. WhoDat,B&B,D it up,Saintfan( I appologize if I have left a real contributor out), have all contributed. It seems as if everyone is suppose to be sucked into this picking apart quotes and breaking one off in someone\'s arse. I sweaar this is the last posts I will have that is serious. I usually like to throw some type of humor into my posts as well as opinon,as well as fact,was well as analysis. Maybe I\'m out of line here... but does anyone agree with me? It seems to me that this board has been harmonious, intelligent, challenging, and generally enjoyable with the exception of two people... that Bucnut guy (that problem has solved itself), and BillyC.

Joe, I rarely advocate censoring anyone... but this guy\'s causing problems. Really, his posts rarely have any substance and generally consist of hair pulling and mud slinging. I will admit that this guy is getting under my skin, BUT NOT b.c of any of his opinions on Saints football, that\'s for sure... those are generally poorly formulated if at all. He\'s pissing me off b/c he posts all day long and tries to pull pretty much everyone down to his level. Frankly, I think this place is better off without him if he can\'t get his sh!t together and act like big boy.... but this isn\'t my board, and I\'m only one member anyway. Joe, Halo, it\'s up to you guys... I just think this guy is more harm than good.

Let me say this, if these were the kinds of posts I had to muck through when I first joined, I probably wouldn\'t have.

I\'ve been here a while never been a large poster in here, One of the reasons I don\'t jump into some strings is they just degrade into this sort argumentative drivel, with individuals looking to win rather that actually follow a chain of logic or make any real points at all. I am not bothered by such strings ,they are easy to spot, I just ignore them. I understand many love to debate and bust each others balls while doing it, but the kind of nit picking going on now is occuring withgreater and greater frequency. I have not been here through a season yet so I hope this will all die down when the season starts and there is actual football to talk about.

The no-BillyC to the yes-BillyC ratio is pretty lopsided dude. and no, people getting pissed off is not fine, and it does not make this board much more entertaining. Good healthy debate does.
