Grant gets $8.644
Clements ..$7.790

Clements will be in the area. Look how quick it builds. Boy I under estimated the damage. Horn looks to be more and more on the way out.

Horn is gone, we made the run without him and the receivers will only be better next year. It's more important that we keep Grant and grab a killer CB.

Yeah only thing I'll miss about Joe is his mentorship with the WRs and Reggie. Other than that we can't justify keeping him for that price tag. Charles Grant will be here, with or without that franchise tag.

Someone will take a gamble on Horn. He is still a great possession receiver, and would work well in a system, where he is the 2nd, or 3rd WR. I hope he's not one of those players, that saves his best game for the Saints every year. I really hate to see him go.

I have a lot of respect for Horn and would hate to see him go.
That said, he is 35 years old and has caught exactly 5 TDs in 2 years. What kind of money does that command? Is Joe just playing hardball early on, or is he really going to hold out for tag-like money?

I've been thinking about Grant. He's my favorite Saints player so I don't want to lose him, but if we don't have Horn and we let Grant go how much would that free up? Ninkovich played like an animal before he got hurt so we may be able to lose Grant and still have solid DE's. Wouldn't that free up the money to get someone like Clements and a mad dog MLB while still letting us draft quality players to help out the D and WR spots?

I say leave the TE spot alone. Miller and Campbell did well this year and our recievers are top passing options. I'd also keep Fred Thomas around as a nickel back and to add depth to the secondary.
