Let's start this topic again...........
David Carr to backup Drew Brees? Philly was playing decent until Mcnabb went down. Their fans gave up, but the Eagles didn't because Jeff Garcia was a former NFL starter. The Dolphins couldn't score with Daunte and then former NFL starter Joey Harrington made them look decent. I would feel safer with a proven QB at #2. How about you guys. Make the case for or against.

RE: Let
Not going to happen because there are teams that are going to give him the opportunity to start.

RE: Let
I wouldn't mind singing Carr to a minimal contract if he happens to be released. I wouldn't give up anything for him and the possibilities of getting him cheap aren't very good.

RE: Let
He wuld be a good abck up, but I agree, he will probably be starting somewhere and is too expensive.

RE: Let
Yep...not gonna happen. He's gonna go somewhere he has the chance to be a starter, ie; KC would be a good move for him. Trent Green has limited years left in him and could be a good mentor. He'd be somewhere there is a dominant run game and protection. I can see the Chiefs letting Damon Huard go be backup somewhere else and let Carr be the heir apparent to Green with Croyle being the future back up.
