Randy McMichael is available

Profootballtalk.com reports that Randy McMichael will be released before a contract option comes up Wednesday.

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel later confirmed that McMichael will be cut Monday. While his stats look solid, McMike has struggled to catch the ball the last few years and isn't known as a great blocker. He'd still generate considerable interest in a free agent market highlighted by Daniel Graham and Jerramy Stevens. Mar. 5 - 3:47 pm et

Instead of getting into a bidding war for his services, we should throw a low round pick at the Dolphins to retain his rights.

I am on the fence on this one...on one hand, i like his playmaking ability...but on the other, i have heard him complain about not getting the ball and about him beating up his wife...I can deal with that but i dont want to hear any whining about how often you get the ball.

TE Eric Johnson is coming in tomorrow. I'll take him over McMichael. Team guys are the way to win the whole enchilada next year.
