The Titans have reportedly made Donte Stallworth a contract offer. Philadelphia has reportedly also made an offer - $1.5 million for one year. The Patriots also made one-year proposal to Stallworth, currently visiting the Dolphins, whose GM Randy Mueller drafted him in 2002. San Francisco may show interest. I think that 32 million dollar contract rumor is farce. The Pats aren't dumb enough, I don't think, to offer a guy with two strikes that much money. The guy has a chronic history of injuries and with that substance abuse thing lingering over his head, no one would make that type of commitment to him. He needs to get his mind right and rebuild his image. I think he stays in Philly for a year and fields offers next offseason. |
