Hurricane Chuck

Here's a late round D-Line sleeper for you, "Hurricane" Chuck Berry. Seriously though, Ryan Kalil...I'd take him in the second. I hope everyone out there in Who Dat Nation enjoys the draft! |
Kalil would be a solid pickup. He can play both Center and Guard. Hes a little small and may struggle with elite bull rush DTs but certainly has the technique to develop nicely if he could get stronger. Also, has the speed to pull as a guard or center. I dont think he will be around for us in the second though. I see him as possibly sneaking into the late first round or if not, then to be gone by midway through the second.
I wouldnt mind seeing us take a shot on Dan Mozes out of West Virginia in the mid to late rounds though. The knock on him is that he doesnt have the physical tools to allow him to play the same level in the NFL as he did in college. But with the right strength and conditioning program he could develop nicely into a backup C and G that could give you 5-10 blows a game on the line without missing a beat. |
Mozes can be a solid Center, a lot of the scouts say he's not good when playing off the run. I dont understand that at all, WVU has had a solid ground game the last few years and Mozes was a big part of it. I wouldnt be upset at the pick, then again I am being a bit of a homer.
