well figuring in that he deals drugs and rapes woman i am pretty sure he wasnt coming here anyway. not really paytons type of playr. haz maybe. he was always good for an excuse, not payton though.

You're right about Payton, but I figured that since these problems were isolated to a short period in his life and were a couple of years back, he has probably changed his life.

well good point. yeah i didnt know when they were. if he was young i can understand the dealing drugs part. the rape side of it is inexcusable at any age though.

I was watching NFL network, but they don't even discuss the Saints' selections. Didn't even mention the trade.....I switched to ESPN in hopes that they will update.

I guess the team dosen't have any "glaring" needs......but I would have liked to see some action in the 2nd round. This has to be the longest draft in recent memory. The Saints' picks are so far up the chart. I guess thats what happens when you have a good season......

i don't like trading out of the 2nd round and watching a divison rival (CAR) get a quality OL in Ryan Kalil right after our pick was supposed to happen

obviously payton and crew thinks they can still get what they want in the early third plus get an extra pick... at least thats my opinion.

uh i think we do jnormand. it isnt a need so i guess in that sense you are right. it isnt a major need. but at the same time it would be nice to have a guy we can count on if drew goes down. maybe hes that guy. who knows

I understand Spkb, but what about Jamie Martin? He's a reliable backup and would be a decent starter in stints. I guess having a young QB on the roster wouldn't be a bad idea.....Point taken.

No McCauley, we got Usama Young. I never heard of him until his workout a couple weeks ago. I didn't have him on my board at all.

McCauley has since been drafted later on in the round.

He he....you guys are gonna laug at me but.....if we can manage...4th or 5th round....I hope to get Antione Barnes. A sleeper from FIU. I know what you are thinking.....crappy program butthis guy completely stood out. Runs a 4.4 in the 40. Sacked countless QB's even though FIu did go 0-10.
