By the numbers, the Saints did the best they could with what they had to work with. I think they look at this draft and said at best we can get two starters. Instead how about we draft for value and look to the future. That's just my opinion.

MM is over 30 now...still great player, but what if we just gave ourselves TWO shots at replacing him in house. at least we shore up what we have behind MM and JD

Meachem was a great pick, provided he isn't the injury waiting to happen that Donte was. Two OL guys that just about every critic loves and Kiper was selling right before we picked him (Bushrod). A RB that people keep saying, "how's he gonna get in the game?", like Deuce and Reggie don't need a rest. And a LB that give us a likely run for a roster spot.

I mean, don't some folks think that for just as much as we may have screwed the pooch on this draft, we may have hit another solid one?

black that's exactly why, in my opinion, I like these picks so much. These players have something to prove. You think Payton will use that as an edge when they're coached up to their potential?? Could you imagine behind from the University of Nowhere and landing with the Saints..... the whole time Payton yelling that no one gave you a chance!! No one believed in you!!
