anyone heard where and when training camp will be this year....i will be in biloxi for military training for 6 weeks in june and july...i would love to make the drive to jackson or new orleans.

It will be at Millsaps in Jackson.

Here's the newly released mini-camp dates. Rookies report 5/12 and go to 5/14 and the full team mini-camp is 6/1-6/3. I'm guessing that training camp starts shortly thereafter and I'm not sure if the M/C's are held at 'Saps.

Not really. I think of this as the worst time of year for me because it is such a long drought without any action. Following the mini camp (always in NO, btw), training camp will not start until sometime between 7/24 and 8/1. Oh, I dread it just thinking about it. The only news other than bad that comes durng this period is draft pick signings and that will be sparse until mid July. We have two mini camps between now and then and the June 1 cuts. That's it.

preseason games start 8/5 for us...are you sure training camp would start that late? i dont know...just asking.

Just looked it up. Camp started 7/28 last year.

We have an extra preseason game this year as we are playing the Hall of Fame game. I don't know how that might affect the schedule for the start of camp, it probably wont be more than a few days. The time frame I mentioned was the time frame it fell in last year. Players showed up for last year's camp on 7/27.

My mother works at the college in PA where the Steelers train. They are going in a week early, so I assume we will do the same, 7/20 or so?
