Saints fans, you know the feeling all too well: that feeling you got in your stomach when the Bucs won the coin toss in overtime. Then again, the same feeling when Tampa began marching down the field on the first drive in overtime. You knew the Saints were going to lose. You couldn’t bear to watch, as Tampa needed just another first down before their kicking unit ran onto the field for the game winner. But wait a second. That didn’t happen. They never gave up that first down, Tampa Bay’s kicking team never jogged onto the field. Something about this game, Saints Fans, was different. Some teams played games yesterday with less meaning than others; however, that wasn’t the case for the Saints. The Saints played the team with the new, high-profile coach, who are picked by many to win the NFC South. Something about this win— the way they never quit, the way they beat a team who so soundly beat them just ten months ago, the touch of luck and fire they played with until the end might prove to be more significant than the team’s playoff win against St. Louis two years ago. This win is definitely the start of something; so Saints fans, hold on. The 1972 Miami Dolphins, the only team in NFL history to go undefeated during a season, began 1-0 as well. Go Saints.

It means we\'re 1-0 in our conference and off to a pretty impressive start. This will give the rookies confidence and the veterans fuel for the fire! Now that we have a long non-conference stretch we can work on perfecting our game before we meet our division rivals and hopefully catapult ourselves right into the playoffs! GEAUX SAINTS!
