I didn't fall out of my chair learning this news.
What a waste of a fine RB, I can't say I feel sorry for him.... |
I'm sad for him in a way. He has wasted a perfectly good opportunity to do something special in a league where on a few are invited.
I was glad when we drafted him and I was glad when we traded him. I'm been even happier about the trade in recent years. |
If everything I've read about him is true, I say he deliberately flunked the test. According to what I've read, he passed every test since being suspended, with the exception of the one. That leads me to believe he purposely did it so he would not have to play in the NFL again. I guess with him still on the hook for paying all that money back to the Dolphins, he couldn't simply just quit the NFL. I would guess that if he is reinstated in September, the Dolphins would probably release him. Just all speculation, the truth is the dude is in his own wacky world.

This is hearsay, but allegedly he failed the drug test on 4/21...anybody? No?
Honestly, I don't think they should test for non-performance enhancing drugs. If anything, weed would be a detriment to a player and if they're using herione or coke, well, they've got bigger fish to fry than football. |
What???
From some of the stuuf I've read on here, i wonder if any of you have ever TRUELY seen a drug addict. People who use these drugs only care about when they are going to get more. PERIOD. These are not your, "smoke a joint once a year people". When Ricky dropped off the face of the planet all he did was live in a tent and smoke dope with some homeless bum.
Fell sorry for him????? Fell sorry for the players who use drugs in their personal life????? Heck no I don't. For those of you that feel sorry for Ricky and the other players that get tested for drugs, try this.... Get doped up and go to your job and see what happens. (You get fired) Ask yourself this. Would you let your kids be cared for by a dope head or a drunk? |
Just to add this..
I am sick and tired of people saying "Oh that poor player, he makes only 1 million dollars a year and he is getting mistreated, people need to stay out of his personal life". Wake up Ricky! Congrads! You are the next person to go down a wasted life. Hope you enjoy it. |
:peace: :smokin:
Peace Ricky, Peace! |

I just don't care - aside from finding it mildly amusing - what Ricky Willliams smokes. Several great NFL players have had drug issues that they had to face. My all-time favorite player, Brett Favre*, had a bout with painkillers that saw him go to rehab. Big money does not make you immune to temptation or addiction, much less a good decision maker. That dosen't mean I feel sorry for them, I just don't expect that much out of them. *I was born in Hattiesburg, MS and graduated from Southern Miss. |
WHODAT,
No stab at you intended. Sorry if you took it that way. Brett is one of my alltime favs as well. I also understand why and how he got addicted to painkillers. I feel sure all of these guys are on them. The beat the hell out of themselves for our enjoyment. I just don't see that in Ricky. I just don't see where Ricky truely thinks he has a problem. I realize I am not in his shoes and he may have greater issues going on in his life that none of us know about. "Thow shall not waste thy talent", should have been the 11th commandment. Personally, do I think Ricky is a good runningback? Heck yeah I do. Has the ability to be one of the best. So the follow is to Ricky... Ricky, I wish you the best, hope you can get over this addiction, and I am sorry for being a heartless pr*ck. Sapper |
