Uh oh ! Another small college guy?

Looks like a monster...Hope he is in better shape than Thomas was....

i love the fact that every year it feels like we have just a sht load of players coming trying to make the team. it is great and provides so much competition. keeps the stars on their toes because they never know who is coming in that is gunning for their spot.

what, 3 rookies from a small conference is too many? LOL
besides, every knows that the mighty MAC is a QB conference- 4 NFL starters

Any thoughts on this guy?

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2873910

he shut down C. Johnson and thought about coming out early before the draft

I'm thinking maybe a fifth round pick?

Ashley 05-17-2007 08:03 PM

Not to bad i guess, fifth or six sounds good for me. Anybody else think different ?

hagan714 05-17-2007 08:47 PM

think higher than that. He had the chance to be the 1st CB taken in the draft next year. so he will be gone before the third. If we want the kid we would probly have to pull the trigger in round 1.

Ouch he's bigger than Thomas. Hope he's in shape, just imagine what'll happen if he does well. He could make the roster, and who on GOD's green earth, on an opposing team will stop and best like this? Boy oh boy!

the supplemental is such a crapshoot- very few players ever go in the first round. A lot of teams have a need a CB, but will they risk a 1 or 2?

We are actually in a better position than the weaker teams. A team looking at a top ten pick next year would have to really love him to take him that early.

"After the draft, it was kind of discouraging not to hear from anybody," he said. "But hearing from the Saints today lifted me out."
It's good to hear athletes not discouraged to spin the bottle with the Saints these days. I'm always expecting this quote:

Quote:

"The Saints? Umm....let me take a year off and I'll decide if my cousin's auto mechanic shop is still in business"
We obviously need all the help we can muster for the secondary. He can't be any worse than Thomas and, as we all know (as someone has pointed out), McKenzie is getting up there in NFL age. The more the merrier, indeed.
