You're the new...
offseason coach, brought in to help the team in 1 particular area of specialty...what do you work on?
I say turnover ratio - on offense and defense. What's your specialty, what do you work on? |
Any position coach on defense... and my specialty would also be in creating turnovers. We don't create enough fumbles or interceptions... it's been a problem for years.
|
i would coach the d-line and help them to get into the backfield quicker.
la'roi glover was an undersized DT that learned to use the O-lineman's weight against him. i would love to have the opportunity to show the saints d-lineman some martial arts techniques to toss those 300lb O-lineman around like 12yr old girls. (im 200lbs and i have frequently thrown around 280lb+ men in grappling tournements using these techniques) |
The Defensive side of the ball
I would get that Bears mantality, in which to force turnovers. I'd beef them up a bit, get some athletic ability and skill. I would really stress good tackling and full power on each play |
kicking coach.
With this offense the punter needs to be a master of coffen corner kicks. Hang time is critical with the poor coverage we had last year. Kick offs need to directional and deep. Also helping out the coverage units. |
Conditioning Coach for the scoreboard operator and the run-out-and-get-the-kicking-tee kid
we will need stamina and consistency from these two positions next year |
With the Cheerleaders, I think I could "coach" those young ladies to levels never seen before in the NFL.
|
Will, I would have to agree with you that consistency will win. I would rather have some good average players that have been together for a few years, then a team of 2 or 3 superstars and the rest of the team hasn't been together long.
The average players will win. |
