Saints tap the Beerman and pop a whitehead
http://neworleanssaints.com/newsroom...articleid=3490
"The New Orleans Saints have released WR Michael Lewis and DE/DT Willie Whitehead, it was announced today by Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis." I got to say I'm really gonna miss the beerman... hopefully he'll make a killing on the rights to his story... its better than that movie about the eagle's receiver starring Markie Mark... anyway... Goodluck Guys... you will be missed!!! |
Good luck to both especially Whitehead (always one of the more underappreciated guys on the team).
Boba keeps on rollin'. |
Have to say Beerman made the games much more exciting to watch during the Haz years. Good luck and yeah, I'd go see the movie.

really sad to see Beerman go. :-(

while i hate to see classy players go,the message is that we really have an improved team at this point.I hope we come out of training camp in good health.Doing this now givees the players a chance to catch on somewhere else and is a sigh that the saints are aclassy organization.this should help in future free agency moves.

the absolute great thing is i'm sure they told em if something happens injury wise and they are not picked up, they have a job to come back to and the great thing about that is they know the offense/defense........
|
if you read at the bottom of that article you'll also see another player has been let go.........i know some of you Lsu fans liked this kid and wanted him to do well...but he is gone also.........seems to me you can have all the potential, but if you don't have the mental, it does'nt happen in n.o.........

I think Payton made a good move in releasing them now instead of putting them through hell in the heat during training camp...plus it gives them more time to find another team. Secondly, i was never high on Dyakowski and i cant see how so many of you guys were...I am a big LSU fan but this guy didnt sniff the field until his 5th year and he was an average at best college OT. I just dont think he had what it takes to cut it in the NFL

Agreed. Sean is better off this year than last with the players on the team. No need to waste the teams time and the players time during camp. well it is an end of a era for the saints. Good luck to both. thanks for the effort. once a saint always a saint.
