Maybe a couple of players like him, want to start hanging out with him, soon, a few more, then the inevitable happens and that player does something else to get in trouble and the team releases him. Now his 'friends' ,who have grown to like him and buy in to the BS he spouts, take an attitude with the powers that be. Shortly thereafter you have a divided locker room and all the hard work that was put into building a championship caliber team is suddenly teetering on becoming a Bengals team. You may say this view is extreme but I say, after all the years of seeing what used to be in our locker room, do you really want to chance it? Taking a chance with a borderline player when we know we can make a Superbowl run with what we have?
Yes, that was extreme. Tank was never a locker room cancer. One player cannot bring down a team full of players on a mision to reach the promised land. Not this team. Not these players. Simmons and his buddy from Sinsinaty came here, attracted by the positive atmosphere. Same reason the old Niners and the Pats bag players. People said Dillon would be a cancer.
