Very interesting and no I did not know we had a national football team

WhoDat205 07-02-2007 04:48 PM

That's the best thing I've heard all day. I hope they lose and we (USA) decide to start sending some studs over to the championships.

France vs. the USA....the possibilities are endless.

McKenzie 07-02-2007 06:10 PM

Football? Real football, not futbol? Who do they play? Man, wouldn't that be fun for Summer Olympics? An elite team of pro bowlers. It'd take 20 years for other countries to catch up to us.:p

That's being generous. We have an entire college industry built on producing Pro-Bowlers.

McKenzie 07-02-2007 07:10 PM

But, who do they play? Where? I've been on football message boards for 7 years and have never heard this one.

$BIG MONEY GRIP$:) , there's even a freaking All-Star Team and they also have individual and team records, check out the link, just unbelievable.

"Yo, JOESAM you think the NFL and USA Governing body is keeping it under wraps till they see how we will perform."

JOESAM2002 07-02-2007 09:06 PM

Maybe, this is the first i've ever heard of it. It is pretty cool though. Even though it's played in Japan it might catch on. I just hope our guys do well.

blacksaint 07-02-2007 09:29 PM

I just can't see Japan beating USA in football, I just can't see it. It's not like Basketball where they can creep up on us , it's FOOTBALL, I'm going to be keeping an eye on this.

avlsaint55 07-02-2007 09:53 PM

Just when you think you have a grip on things you find out how little you know. I've never heard of this before. Now they get to see how the game is really played. however I would keep one eye on the German team, think about it most of the NFLE teams were in Germany.

Euphoria 07-02-2007 10:04 PM

Oh brother... High Schoolers!

Check out the winning record the head coach has... they were in that bad of shape looking for a coach?

blacksaint 07-02-2007 11:09 PM

Guys, Japan is the two time Champion. JAAAPAAAN!!!!!!!!! USA is going to kill those guys. Look at the individiual and team records, USA is going to break most of them first time out.

It would take 20 years for other countries to catch up to the college "leftovers" we're fielding now. If you start throwing guys like Deuce, Reggie, Ed Reed, Champ Bailey, Urlacher (I'm getting really excited) out there, the rest of the world (especially Japan) might never catch up.

I really want to see what an NFL team would do to a bunch of amatures.

numpster 07-03-2007 10:31 AM

Looking over this roster, not sure how well they play football, but their SAT/ACT/GRE/LSAT scores have to got be out of the roof!!

Mackovic (head coach), he was at Wake Forest, Texas, Arizona and the KC Chiefs? Liked the passing game?

blacksaint 07-03-2007 11:07 PM

Man, USA couldn't lose this if it was Madden, look at some of those scores, ridiculous. I don't think were going to ever have to put the Pros in, this is not even a second tier roster we have and it would surprise me if we lose. If this team doesnt do well their going to sick the second tier guys on them, we'll probably recognize a few of them, but until then, I'm going out on the limb and saying it's going to be awhile before that happens if ever because these guys will dominate, and bring home the gold.

Nemesis 07-03-2007 11:31 PM

Learn something every day....I'm glad to see the interest in football spreading globally. I believe we'll see the NFL have a franchise in Europe during our lifetimes, considering airline industry advancements. I guess that would be more along the lines of the aerospace industry?

However, I doubt many Div 1A (much less pro players) would risk injury to represent our national team, should football ever become an Olympic sport. I think it will.

FireVenturi 07-04-2007 08:11 PM

this is gonna be maddenlike they might put up three figures.
