The Uniform Issue

I had watched a commercial for Madden '08 where they had Reggie Bush in the game. I had noticed that the team's gold pants was missing that familiar solid black stripe down the middle. I was wondering if this is there official uniform config or that was just for the game.

Speaking of pants, I wonder if the might come out with white pants (something the team hasn't worn since the '85 season) without the stripes.

Throwback idea: Since this will be the Saints' 20th Anniversary of their first winning season (1987), I wonder if they would break out the '86 unies for just one game.

One note: Those black pants the team wore in 1999 (the one with the gold stripe) was "UGGALEE!!!". Thank God they didn't bring them back!!

I remember the year the Texans came out, those rendered Madden unis looked way better than the official ones. The Saints players prefer all black.

just a little note...this year the saints will be wearing the all black unis at home...and on the road they will be wearing the white jerseys with the gold pants.

AWESOME!! I thought they looked awesome last year with all black. I think the helmet should go black as well and make the fleur bright gold!! But thats just me. ;0)

I too noticed the stripe-less pants in the commercial. Truthfully, Saints uniforms in games are always wrong for some reason. Year after year I'll catch an error here or there.

This is an interesting piece of information... when we wear our away jerseys I've always preferred the gold pants to the black. I think the fact that the helmet is gold is the reason why.

I'm not a huge fan of the all black home uniforms - I think it's because the NFL requires the socks to be "mostly white" and that ruins the look. If you could have all black socks it would look pretty sharp. I don't know if you guys remember but back in like 2002 we had a meaningless Sunday Night home game against the Redskins and both Joe Horn and Ricky Williams wore all black socks and shoes (even though the team was wearing white socks and shoes that year) and took the fine just because it looked cooler.

You know, now that I think about it if memory servers me correct I don't think the game allots for you to edit the pin stripe

Maybe that’s why you can’t see the black pin stripe
You only have 3 strip types to choose from on the pants

Haz used to say the opposition couldnt tackle us as well when we had the all black unis, due to them being tighter. What a crock of crap. LOL!

I thought the all-Black was the best look. It is my favorite look in any uni. I like the Grambling All-Black also.
