In that article, it talks about the competition for the number 3 QB spot. Why is Payton so big on Martin if he's playing so poorly??

He has a good track record as a backup quarterback. He's performed badly in one preseason game... he'll be fine. Would you rather have Fife as our number 2 going into the season? I'd go with the vet myself.

I agree but it still scares the hell out of me. I just can't help but think we're in serious trouble if something happens to Drew. I hope one of the young guys can step up and make a move. I like Jamie but i'm not real comfortable with him at his age. Hell, he's almost as old as me.(Almost)

We have had Fife in our camps for a good while now... its time he comes into his own and he is looking good so far.

Remeber back a few years ago were after one preseason game we lost about 6 players for the season. So this is not so bad
