Third quarter: No K. Chesney
Posted by Jimmy Smith, Staff writer
August 18, 2007 8:28PM CINCINNATI - Wide receiver Lance Moore was doing his best Saturday night to make the Saints coaching staff forget about country and western singer Kenny Chesney's comical attempt to catch passes. Moore caught six passes in the third quarter for 70 yards, including four in a drive that had the Saints inside the 1-yard line as the third quarter ended. His last reception of the quarter gave the Saints a first-and-goal at that point. --Matt Baker didn't see any action in the third quarter, though he was expected to play at some point in the period. --The action slowed considerably in the third quarter with both teams playing mostly reserves. The Saints had an entirely new offensive line in fron of Martin. --Martin was 14 of 19 for 139 yards during his playing time - it appeared Baker was poised to enter the game in the fourth quarter - but was sacked three times and fumbled twice, losing one.
