Bucs coach Jon Gruden talked Monday about the abrupt transition from down time to full-blown training camp.

"I'm hanging in there," he said. "I was on a jet ski five or six days ago. Now, all of a sudden, we're in mayhem here. This is the most exciting time of the year for me. Two practices a day, get to shower with the guys, get to shave with the guys, breakfast, lunch and dinner, then a curfew at night. I love it."

When asked about his particular excitement in "shower[ing] with the guys," Gruden backtracked quickly.

"I didn't mean it to come out like that," Gruden said. "Some of you [media] are sick, demented guys."

Whoa, slow down. Ner have I seen such a witty comment used on this board. I am truly humbled by how clever and funny the above comment was. I am speechless, except for the reverence I feel, to be in the same company as someone who has such a mastery of the english language.
