I've always liked Fred Thomas. He's not big or fast, but he plays smart and he tackles well. Wasn't he playing with an injury last year when he struggled so much?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he should be the starter. But I don't understand the bashing. If the Colts fans are right, David will struggle in man coverage too.

Sure, FT is no "shutdown corner." But I don't think getting rid of him will cure all ills.

May not cure ills but it'll free up a spot on the roster for someone who is worth a damn.
