Preseason Strategy
We've had three games already. Our starting wides are not playing, why not sit reggie, drew & deuce, too. Most of our conversation revolves around, "what if he gets hurt, ....", so sit them. They are ready. We know what they can do. Let's take a real hard look at the rookies/fa's tonight and next week in the dome. Getting hurt in practice is one thing, but losing a vital part of our team in a meaningless preseason game, is just dumb. Grant and Smith on the D, too. Let everyone else there battle in out for spots.

Please stop the bleeding.... Take the starters out.

Re: Preseason Strategy
I don't mind seeing the starters roll for at least a half in the 3rd game. (4th for Saints). There needs to be some extended playing time for the starters at some point. If you do not give the starters some extended playing time, the risk is they will be very rusty in the opening week. Yes, the injury factor is a big deal, but the guys still need to get the work in. I know next week the starters will get either no or almost no playing time.

Re: Preseason Strategy
I the top WRs were not hurt, they would play. And if the top RBs were hurt, they would not play.

Re: Preseason Strategy
Thats it for the starters in preseason... they probably won't even have pads on this thursday at home vs Miami...
but I know what you're saying... every time Bush was out to return a punt this preseason, I would get the heebie jeebies... |
