I never knew there was any bad blood between Saints fans and Kyle Turley. In fact, I thought we all loved him for his helmet javelin incident. Was there any "locker room cancer" that I didn't know about?

Turley was one of Ditka's picks. Haslet had to rid the team of all picks that wasn't his.
Turley was a great player, made a couple of bonehead decisions but gave it all on the field and also off the field. Turley did quite a few good things in the community that went unreported.

Turley wore his passion and his intensity on his sleeve and played hard. His actions in the Jets game were a little over-the-top, but consider Aaron Brooks nearly got his head ripped off too.

I could never dislike Turley since that Jets game. I remember it like it was yesterday and after that happened I could care less whether we won or lost that game. And I don't think his actions were over the top. He was a lineman, his job was to protect the QB...they messed with the QB, they messed with Turley. And Turley is not a man I would like to mess with.

Turley will always have fans in Saintdom.Myself included. He impressed the hell out of me in that Jets game. He proved, you don't mess with my quarterback.

not only did he rip off the helmet and toss it, but it was our one nationally televised game that year, so i loved it......also for bonus points, i remember him saying he used to listen to slayer to get pumped up for the game.

Have any of you watched Hard Knocks on HBO? It follows Chief's camp and has a lot of Turley coverage. I wish he would have never left.
