Boba, you should suggest this

tell Sean Payton to sit his defense down with a bowl of popcorn, and take some notes.

Honestly, they should show this to the defense. They're but a shell of their former proud selves.

lol yeah this was definitely a defensive unit that showed up to every game with a big bag gifts boxes...

and in the gifts boxes were a bunch of @$$kicking’s and they were not afraid to spread the gifts around and make sure everybody got one

Funny, you should use that word.....pride. That is exactly what I noticed through the whole thing. You could just see it. No glad assing,just good old defense and hard hits. If the first guy missed you ,you better have your butt down cause somebody's gonna bust your ass. That group gang tackled. There never was just one to hit you, there were several. And God forbid if Vaughn Johnson drew a bead on you. If he had a shot your butt was hurting.

You know, the thing I remember the most about that defense is the swarming. It was hardly ever just 1 defensive player in on the tackle....... unless it was just an awesome open field tackle...... it was usually a host of Black and Gold jerseys. Everyone was in on the tackle.
The linebackers were legendary yes, but that defensive line was tops too. I personally felt the line and linebackers made the defensive backs look a lot better than they really were.
If we would have had an offense, and been in a different division, our playoff record would be a whole lot better right now.

Exactly, and you know, that's not really a tangible quality. It's an internal attitude, or self-expectation.

I think our defense would do well to taste a little of that, and to love what they do and do it well.

We will be alot better on defense THIS year.
