You don't need upside in a #2 QB. You need somebody that knows what to do. Face it, if we lose Drew for very long, it's going to be a tough season. Neither Palko nor Martin are going to step in and do what #9 does. You want somebody to hold things together until Brees can get back on the field. That guy isn't Tyler Palko. Not this year. Next year, maybe. Also I disagree with the premise that Martin is horrible. Again, he's not Brees but who is? He did pretty well in preseason for a backup. |
