I don't see any reason why the Saints can't go all the way to the Big Dance. Now that our defense is alot better we can stop QB's like Vick and Mcnabb ;)

The Offense will be great again this year, no worry there.

Special Teams will be even better this year.

Lets see, Defense.

DT. - Johnathan Sullivan
DT. - Kenny Smith
OLB. - Derrick Rodgers
MLB - Smith/Grant/Ruff
SS - Mel Mithcell
FS - Tebucky Jones

All of them new starters that are faster and bigger than last year starters, If our defense can gell really fast, than we could make a run for the Super Bowl ;)

Sullivan- ROOKIE...that should say enough that you can\'t expect error free performance. He has a huge upside but to be thrown to the lines in the gap of this defense will make him or break him.
Smith- Has had many chances to step up. Hasn\'t. Why will he now?
Rodgers- Comes to a new defense with poorer supporting cast. Will this make him standout or expose him more?
Smith- Losing steps fast. Still quality and leadership, but not a full time player.
Grant- ROOKIE...and a tweener. He will be a huge asset but like Sullivan needs time to adapt, learn and experience and in the meantime will get burned at times.
Ruff- Lost his job in San Diego twice for being too one-dimensional. We need the run stuffer but he will make a safety or OLB job more encompasing.
Mitchell- Basically a rookie as well. Should be good for the defense just because his athleticism will allow for more formations and coverage styles than Knight\'s play could allow. He will still lay the lumber like Sammy and if he learns to read a offense like Knight we will be ahead.
Jones- Career underachiever. Like Rodgers, he will shine or he will be a better tackling Jay Bellamy. Worst case, Mitchell and Jones make us have the strongest special teams coverage players in the league.

These guys are all question marks. Not one is a proven star anywhere. Had we signed a Takeo Spikes I\'d agree we are ahead of the game. As it is, our defense is a wash until they prove otherwise. Don\'t get me wrong, I like all of the additions as opposed to what we had. This unit will have more speed, more athleticism, and more potential to make plays....they just need to execute them.

Don\'t be scared of Gator. He doesn\'t bite. That\'s what Billy C and SubGuy like about him the most. Besides, he has his head pointed straight at his own ass.
