Here are the seniors that I like and will be watching for the draft. All will be day one picks. Jr. have to start declaring or indicating they will before I start drooling. I try to keep it real. I hope we are drafting in the same range as last year. +/- 5 places

Lawrence Jackson, Defensive End, USC, 6-3 ½, 265

Jackson flashes game-changing pass rush skills and the foot speed to run down backs from the backside.

Tommy Blake, Defensive End/Outside Linebacker, TCU, 6-2 ¾, 250

Former standout prep running back, who really can put some heat on the QB coming off the edge.

Antoine Cason, Cornerback, Arizona, 5-11, 195

Best one-on-one match-up cover man on the West Coast.

Barry Richardson, Offensive Tackle, Clemson, 6-6, 320

Richardson has got his weight under control now and he has a real strong chance to develop into a dominant left tackle as a senior.

Dwight Lowery, Cornerback, San Jose State, 6-1, 200

If you count the 15 games he played at Cabrillo Junior College and the 13 games he played for San Jose State last season, Lowery has intercepted 24 passes in college. Has the size, 1st rate recovery speed and ball reaction skills that the pros really covet.

Sedrick Ellis, Defensive Tackle, USC, 6-1, 298

Ellis has quick hands, good movement skills and he does a superb job destroying the inside pocket.

Jasper Brinkley, Middle Linebacker, South Carolina, 6-2, 255

Rugged, real physical inside backer, who is like a heat-seeking missile out on the field.

Bruce Davis, Defensive End, UCLA, 6-2 ¾, 255

Davis is built more along the same lines of an outside linebacker, but he has tremendous closing speed to the QB and outstanding pass rush moves and countermoves.

Gosder Cherilus, Offensive Tackle, Boston College, 6-6 ½, 315

Gosder is a mountain of a man at 6-6, 315 lbs. and he anchors one of the best offense lines in college football.

John Carlson, Tight End, Notre Dame, 6-5, 255

Carlson is a very athletic tight end, with strong hands and he is a big-play threat after the catch.

DeJuan Tribble, Cornerback, Boston College, 5-10, 189

Tribble lacks great size, but he has outstanding foot speed, excellent ball reaction skills and when the ball is in flight, he thinks it’s meant for him.

Quentin Groves, Defensive End, Auburn, 6-3, 255

Groves could well end up playing linebacker in a 3-4 alignment in the NFL due to his speed, quickness and superb athletic ability.

Keenan Burton, Wide Receiver, Kentucky, 6-1, 195

Burton is a major college sleeper, with excellent size, acceleration after the catch and he will fight for the ball in traffic.

Matt Ryan, Quarterback, Boston College, 6-4, 220

There is no question that Matt has the makings of a starting NFL quarterback.

Andre Fluellen, Defensive Tackle, Florida State, 6-2½, 295

Andre is a big-time run stuffer, who also gets good inside penetration.

Of course defense is a glaring need. I want a LT so Brown can move back to RT. nothing like 2 probowlers at T

I'd like to see us take a OLB/DE hybrid. We don't blitz or put enough pressure on the quarterback imo. I like Fuji and Shanle a lot but they'll never be more than solid. I've seen enough of Groves to say he's going to be a good one. Bruce Davis from UCLA looks intriguing. And depending where we pick, Glen Dorsey baby!

Yeah but what people don't realize is the key to it all is that D-line being able to stop the run and put immense pressure on the QB. They don't give the QB a whole lot of time to find an open reciever.

I know. Glen Dorsey is an animal. I'm an Arkansas fan when it comes to the SEC, but LSU is certified. It seems like they're three deep at every position. The speed on D is the best i've ever seen. Who loses 4 first round picks and comes back that nasty?

And for all the talk about the D, Miles hasn't gotten past the second page of the play book.

The SEC west is going to be a cake walk. Auburn's folding like a cheap tent. Arkansas has 2 players (allbeit really good players). Ole Miss is a joke. You've got a big game in Tuscaloosa and USC and UF at home. UF is the only contender in conference.

im still mad that we passed on chris houston to take robert meachem last year, payton might be a little too offensive minded.
