and on a brighter note............
Bills | Everett may be able to walk again
Tue, 11 Sep 2007 16:49:14 -0700 ESPN.com reports the doctor who performed the surgery on Buffalo Bills TE Kevin Everett (neck) told Buffalo TV station WIVB that Everett has voluntary movement of his arms and legs and as a result, he is optimistic that Everett will walk again. Dr. Andrew Cappuccino said Everett's sedation levels were lowered on Tuesday, allowing him to respond to verbal commands. WIVB also reported that Everett's latest MRI shows only a small amount of swelling on his spinal cord. Cappuccino said, "A best-case scenario is full recovery, but not likely. I believe there will be some permanent neurologic deficit." |

Re: and on a brighter note............
I am glad that Kevin Everett seems to be doing much better. I hope this guy is able to have a good life after this injury. To me, it's amazing that we do not see more of these type of injuries. These guys today are just too damn fast and too damn big. As much as I kind of hate the NFL for becoming too soft, it's obviously needed. I loved the era of nasty hits, but today these guys are just too damn big and fast for it.

Definately good news... hopefully he'll be able to recover and attempt a comeback. It would be a feel good story.
