After 1 1/2 weeks this is what we get?
 

This is the gameplan we came up with after a week and a half. Damn I predicted us to lose 19-17 but I sure didn't mean it. I was trying that opposite thing, but it looks like it's really going to happen. Brees looked weak on the long throw to Patten. I think something is going on that we don't know yet.

It's our worst nightmare come true. Our defense still sucks, and people have figured out how to stop our offense. To top all that, we get rid of one of the more consistent kickers we have ever had and pick up "that".

Our offense is the only reason we made the playoffs last year. If the cover 2 is the magic formula for stopping us, we need to either adjust or prepare for a 6-10 season.

Someone on this board said that the Colts basically gave the NFL a three hour step by step instructional video of how to beat the Saints. I think he may have hit it on the head. Truth is though that.....more than anything....our o-line has completely gone to ****. Brees really has no time back there and and our RB's can't seem to hang on to the ball. Oh and again......I'm from Miami....we hated MARE here. When I found out we were getting him....I was not happy at all. He NEEDS to go!

OK, I understand what's going on with our defense but what in the hell is up with our offense?, Brees has only 63 yards in two QTR's, we can't block, we can't hold on to the ball, I just Dunno..

I think SP was trying to wear down the Buc's D with a lot of runs so they could use the pass for the 2nd half of the game. However, the Buc's took advantage of the "rope-a-dope" tactic and just ran with with. They started throwing bombs on the Saints and the Saints are rocked, struggling to recover.

The Saints have also been playing with a lack of enthusiasm in the beginning of this year. Maybe a good home game will remind them what they're playing for.


Whatever it is. They need to, not only regain themselves, but get a huge spark to play with fire again.

They're playing without passion. There is no visable fight/heart like we had last year.

My prediction for the season revised: 4 and 12. We end up the worst offense and defense in the NFL and the team is selected for relocation to Los Angeles in 2010. Oh and by the way, I ain't freakin joking. To all of the fans that have supported this crap for 40 years, we deserved alot better, alot better. I live 65 miles from Atlanta and 2 hours from Carolina so I guess I can take my pick.

Hate to say it, but Drew Brees has sucked big time in both of the regular season games. Inaccuracy. Bad decisions. Bad movement in the pocket.

I don't take offense that those people excluding him from the "elite" QB discussions now.

It's pretty bad when you have to really think about who has played well so far. I guess Weatherford gets another game ball.

I think when Payton decided to bury the 2006 season he also buried the desire to win along with it. Those boys may need to revisit that grave site and uncover a few things so they can remember what they did and how they did it last year.

Aright fellas, this hurts a lot, it's basically killing me right now, but I'm just not ready to throw in the towel. Last year we started out the same way, the only difference is the level of competition. They're going to get it together, I have to believe this, they're going to get this offense going in the right direction. I just hope this ain't the GREYGOOSE talking, I'm kind of typing on a fifth and a have right now, mmmmman I'm smashed.

Didn't get a chance to see the game...or listen to it...I'm so glad I don't know what to do. If I looked at it with my own eyes it would have pissed me off. I didn't need that kind of torment. I looked at the stat sheet on NFL.com. Looked like a song I have heard much too often. Too much dipsy-doodle finness bull****. It's football! Blocking, tackling, throwing, and catching. We didn't do any of it well. I hope they wake up...and soon.

It basically looked like the Saints went on the field to run a couple of plays and the Buccs took the field to play football - as if, the Saints just weren't ready to play a fast-paced, physical game.

No in fact you really don't want the bye week to get here. Everytime Brees/Saints are sitting more than 7-8 days they play like crap. This past week they sat 10, so no big surprise they played like crap.

Just saw the ESPN lowlights. Fumbles aside, Sean just needs to show me / prove to me that giving the ball to Duece 20 times a game won't change our fate. We've tried it the Brees/Bush way - let's give the Duece/Karney train a ride. It's tough to believe that a steady dose of 4-5 yards a pop, with the imphasis on the POP, won't wear some defenses down and make both Drew and Reggie more effective. Don't know what to say for the defense. Let David just start grabbing people as they go by - take the Spot, a deep breath, and line it up again.

I'm not calling for Fast Freddie to start, just be active for the games. Don't understand how David looks better than what we have back there now. Simmoneau is terrible, in fact all of the LB's get sucked in on playaction and can't cover if they don't. The DL can't pressure, and as soon as they blitz, the are toasted. Almost like they know we are coming.

I agree with your prediction about that the Saints will move out of state. It's just a matter of time before the NFL Commissioner gives the OK to the Bensons to move out.

There is just no way for NOLA to be able to support a NFL franchise in the coming years. The team will move . . . we just don't know when.

As soon as the Saints fall back to earth with a losing season, the ticket sales/revenue will drop off, and, then -- GOODBYE Saints.

Hi all, I'm from the UK, so I could only listen to the Bucs game on the internet radio. The radio commentator came up with a very valid point. Last year we ("the Saints") were able to creep up on teams because they didn't know a lot about the new players, Colston for example. But you just know that all the teams we are playing now have spent the off season examining every inch of game film from last season and have really done their homework on the Saints plays, moves and stratagies. SP needs to come up with some different ideas and plays for offence and defence so we can get the oppostion guessing again and catch them on the hop.
