Not an excuse for the loss BUT...
...what was with the ref's overturn call on the fumble replay in the Tampa game?
<paraphrase>It couldn't clearly be seen but we are overturning the call? </paraphrase> What happened to conclusive evidence? Fumble or not, that was a HORRID call by the officials. Sadly, was watching the game with a Tampa fan but he even agreed it was a bad call. Curious on the thoughts from the loyal Black and Gold'ers. |

kiddcreole welcome.
I am still scratching my head on that call.A mercy call maybe? Had a bet on the game? Got me. Weak is all I can say about the call. |
Re: Not an excuse for the loss BUT...
I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt this way. The ball was clearly fumbled. The question here was who possesed the ball after the fumble. It looked to me like when McAllister landed he had the ball, the whistle was blown, and THEN Ruud came up with it.

Welcome to the BlackandGold...
IMO the ref's wasn't a factor at all in the Bucs game, it was the entire team who loss that was the factor of getting the loss. |
Re: Not an excuse for the loss BUT...
It's been like that across the board in the league so far. I don't know if it's because they're trying to implament the new rule changes or what, but clearly they are screwing up big time.

Re: Not an excuse for the loss BUT...
That fumble was a big momentum swing and I thought there was ZERO conclusive evidence on the play. Tampa then went down field and scored. That was that.

Re: Not an excuse for the loss BUT...
This is really shouldnt be brought up it may be a bad call but really thats not the reason the saint lost so bad........ The reason they lost is cause they couldnt get anything going on offense and on defense they couldnt stop anybody........
