Grade: 12th gets an big fat F
I was embarrassed more by the fans than the team last night. I was watching at the usual Monday night watering hole. I had to eat a ton of crow because of them. I got more grief about my fellow saints fans than the team themselves. Booing in the second quarter? My god sell your tickets if you are half a fan. That was appalling. They went to the division last year for god sakes. You shocked the MNF crew. They could not believe it. Thats bad. From that point on the fans gave them the green light to bash the saints.
Saint fans have long way to go to become a 12th man. Poor, Poor, Poor |
Re: Grade: 12th gets an big fat F
I wasn't booing - because I turned off the game in the second quarter. Fair weather fan? - no - I just knew what was coming, and decided not to torture myself.
So the fans were booing, eh? I can't say I'm surprised. Perhaps they shouldn't boo at the team, but the fans have a right to be upset. The Saints offence took the wrong plane to the Chicago, and have been missing in action ever since. |
Re: Grade: 12th gets an big fat F
LOL We all new they we struggling. The team needed something. The fans showed they could not be trusted to be that something. Booing in the second qrt proves it. I understand the 4th. but the second is way to early for this team. They gave us more than we hoped for last year and now the fans turned on them. You need a road trip to some of the true 12th man stadiums. The fans sux. Either you believe and are willing to support the team or not. If not give up your tickets to a fan that knows how to be a 12th man.

Booing in the second quarter? -- now that does surprise me. Were any of the fans wearing paper bags?
|
Re: Grade: 12th gets an big fat F
that was said by all the MNF staff by the end of the game.
|
Re: Grade: 12th gets an big fat F
I didn't notice alot of people in the stands. Or am I wrong.
Don't get me wrong, I am highly upset with the loss; but booing.....come on people. How soon we forget. |
Re: Grade: 12th gets an big fat F
Watch for it next game. If we're dropping to 0 and 4, getting blown out in the next game, I bet you'll be seeing paper bags in the Dome before the night's end.

I didn't see any fans wearing bags, but Cornholio just couldn't wait to have the tech staff cue up some old clips of footage with the bags. I hate that piece of crap "announcer". |

You read and here all over the place how good the fans are in NO. I believe it. We just need to learn how to be that 12th man. We have never been that on a regular bases. As far as running from the water hole with my tail tucked, sorry can not do that. I am a man and can handle the truth. We suxed as fans last night on national TV. That is the truth. I am still proud to be a saints and hope that Sean does give lessons to the fans. He has commented more than once about there behavior. I rack it up to lack of knowledge. Not so much the fans fault as the Teams history. If it costs to much to support the team when they are lossing give up the tickets. For those on the waiting list for season tickets please remove your name. I am looking for a second set. |
Re: Grade: 12th gets an big fat F
Dude, the dome cheered on the defence each and every play. Even special teams got their share of noise. The booing for the offense wasn't excessive, but it probably needed to be. Their playing was dismal.

Re: Grade: 12th gets an big fat F
Yup. A one hit wonder you were. Uh, Reggie Bush is better than Westbrook? Keep drinking the kool-aid.
My Eagles will reemerge from the Abyss and reclaim the division. Go Eagles. E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Re: Grade: 12th gets an big fat F
your eagles...nice uniforms. and you're definitely worse than ALL of the teams in the NFC East.

You said you were sitting in a bar watching the game… So that tells me that you didn’t buy tickets. The fans were booing because this is what happens when people spend there hard earned money on crap and last nights game was nothing short of that. If you are looking to place blame for the fan fall out you needn’t look far, simply look to the team itself You say the fans have not been there for this team on a ""regular bases""… I say the fans have been the only constant in all of this mess The simple fact that they have a sold out season says that much at the very least If anyone has been anything on a ""regular bases"" it’s the team …and they have been bad on a ""regular bases"" So let’s give credit where credit is due More importantly Benson is a businessman, and it’s common knowledge that a businessman is not out to loose money so I can tell you, with a fair amount of confidence that he would not stay in New Orleans if his team (aka: business) was not making money So I say the fans have earned there side of things after 20 plus years of supporting this team and now it’s time for this team to start earning the fan’s support. And I may be mistaken but, isn’t that this year’s whole team motto… …EARN IT! or did I read that wrong and it realy said... ...EAT IT!!! |
Re: Grade: 12th gets an big fat F
oh I am in no way saying that I think the booing was necessary
but I can understand why they were doing it |
Shame!
Early in the first half after an incomplete pass I hear Boos from the fans. How can those (SO CALLED) fans throw the team back to the wolves like that so quickly? Its so sickening to hear and Im ashamed to be associated with those people. The job of a fan is to help motivate the team not to help them self distruct! It sounds like the same song from those fans its getting old. Respect this team and support them no matter how great or terrible they may play year in and year out. BLESS YOU BOYZ for putting up with that kind of behavior and good luck with the rest of the season.

Re: Grade: 12th gets an big fat F
The job of an NFL fan is to buy season tickets, concessions, NFL merchandise, and the Direct TV NFL package. Ask Tom Benson.
Booing and/or cheering is optional. |
Re: Grade: 12th gets an big fat F
Booing? Why not? We suck right now...we suck hard right now. We're making stupid mistakes and playing terrible football. Tulane could hang 30 on our D and I doubt our O could score 2 TD's against em'. I wasn't there, but had I been there you can count me among the boo birds.

Re: Grade: 12th gets an big fat F
Maybe we should look back to Brees jumping for the 1st down. Duece blowin out his other knee. David breakin his arm. They make a ton of money but when they play at home we should show them how happy we are that they are our team. This was a good homecomin booing in the 1st qt.
|
Re: Grade: 12th gets an big fat F
Look, I am as disappointed and broke down as all of you, but if the returning number one offense is playing as badly as we are right now then the fans have every right to boo them. I don't expect the fans at the game to cheer when things are not going well. Seems like they were pretty damn loud when the Defense was in until it got out of hand. Booing the best way to voice your opinion to all Saints personnel, letting them know they need to get their a** in gear and they did until that crucial Brees fumble.
|
Re: Grade: 12th gets an big fat F
I wouldn't have boo'ed. But I would've screamed some savory profanities, I can assure you.
|
Re: Grade: 12th gets an big fat F
Don't forget that this team played crapp-a-licious-ly for 10 QUARTERS before the fans got a chance to let them hear the boooos.
Maybe it was actually overdue. |
