Next Years Draft

If You Could Draft Any Player In Next Years Draft Who Would It Be And What College Does He Play For. Lets See What Feedback I Get From This In My Opinion I Would Draft Someone Like Glen Dorsey (lsu) Or Keith Rivers (usc).

I've said this like 50 times: Darren McFadden. The dude has "Prototype NFL Back" written all over him. I haven't seen him stood up once this year. Guys just try to grab him and hold on. He's averaging 6.3 a carry with no passing game whatsoever. He's got one of the best stiff arms I've ever seen and I hear that if you drop a phonograph needle on his nipple, it plays the Beach Boys' Pet Sounds.

His family crest is a picture of a barracuda eating Neil Armstrong.
His poop is considered currency in Argentina.
I once saw him scissor-kick Angela Lansbury.
He once punched a hole in a cow just to see who was coming up the road.
He drives an ice cream truck covered in human skulls.
He breastfeeds John Madden!

Dorsey DT LSU. Bring a local LSU dominating linemen to the local pro team. We got to beef up and get some ballers for a change on our lines instead of the over hyped/over achievening at times players that aren't worth there pay checks.

I agree on Dorsey, too bad we'll never get to pick that high since we're going 12-4. haha

A DT that will get some push will make our DE's better which in turn will make our secondary better as well as our LB's. A great DT with good DE's will make us look like a really good D. Champ Bailey with ESP will get burned if we cannot get pressure on the QB.

I don't see any of that as being a need as big as OL.

I can't believe anyone who watches the Saints defense play, wants to draft someone on the offensive side of the ball.

How can you blame the defense when whe the offense can't make a 1st down, your QB is under constant pressure, the running game is non-existent, and the D stays on the field? I agree, we have holes on D but we have no offense. Really, it's hard to say what we need because the season's not over and free agency hasn't come around. I like McFadden a lot, the tackle from Michigan (Long) was suppose to be a good prospect. On Defense, I wouldn't mind Dorsey or a bad a** MLB or corner. I don't know about drafting a safety with a top 3 pick.

With the way we are playing right now, we are looking at a top 5 pick. I am hoping we turn it around, but it's going to be tough

Ok where are we picking? No clue right. I am willing to spend our first or second round pick on a stud for the OL. That has to be the last piece missing for this unit. After that CB, DT, LB just like like last years wish list. Do we really want another #1 on a WR? Remember Colston will be in a contract year. So that means we will be paying 3 #1 WR in 2 years? think not. Well then again we could become the Lions of the south. As for RB that is interesting. But we maybe better off trading out and getting picks. Lets see how this rotation at RB works first.

The answer is simple,,,,,Dorsey. I know this is going against what some seem to think around here but you don't go from the number 1 offense in the league one year to the worst(or at least one of the worst) in one year without talent. This team has the talent, what they need is leadership and a swift kick in the ass.

Where we are hurting the worst is on defense. Our needs are many on defense but you don't see a defensive tackle like Dorsey come along very often. If we have a shot to get him, that's where i go.

Dorsey is my pick as well and I'm not being biased because he's a tiger. Like someone already mentioned, if we have dorsey in the middle it's just gonna elevate the play of Grant and Smith, which will take some of the pressure off our secondary and LBs. If Dorsey is there when we draft, we better run to the podium with the pick.

Besides we've already given up picks to trade up for a RB we'd eventually cut.
Traded a pick for a CB and over paid him, only to find he's not worth a Fred Thomas.
Drafted a WR as our first rounder to spend time on the bench and develop.

It's time to go another direction.....besides even if Dorsey did turn out to be a bust at DT, it can't possibly be as bad as the Sullivan debacle.

I can't believe anyone who has watched the o-line play so far this year would suggest that drafting some help there is a bad idea.

Great post JoeSam. Our offense has talent, they're just not putting it all together right now. Once they get on the same page, they'll be fine. Sure, we need some help on the line and at receiver, but you make a good point here.

The last few years we have been a poor defensive team. Last year we got a little better, especially in terms of being opportunistic, but you can only be opportunistic for so long. After a while, your talent (or lack thereof) catches up with you, and that's what's going on right now. We have a serious lack of talent on defense and we need to address it. Drafting Glenn Dorsey would be a good start there, as it would help establish the middle of our line and free up our DEs.

However, as much as I think we FINALLY need to use a first-round pick on defense, I wouldn't be able to disparage the pick if we took Jake Long.
